the 3rd in line to the throne is deploying to Iraq, and he's pretty brave about, I'm proud of this boy. An actual leader is going to war, and he isn't afraid of danger. Hail Prince Harry!!!

can you imagine GW going to vietnam when he was a teenager? JFK was a war vet, and i think it's good resume to have when u are going to run a government ( well, Britain royals don't really run the country, but you know what i mean)

If there is a ever another draft in the US. Cheney and Bush's sons and daughters should be the first to go. Hell Bush and Cheney should go to.

there' s not a draft system in Britain, Prince Harry volunteer himself to be in the military, so did his older brother Prince William, but the older one cannot be deploy to go to warzone, because he's 2nd in line to the throne next to his father.

i think the whole point is that his family has millions he can do whatever he wants but he still choses to join the army and go to Iraq

What your're describing is illegal, You can't just pick a certian group and send them, thats why it's done by birthdates.

99% sure this is just for publicity. He's a royal, he can stop himself from being deployed into a dengerous situation.

Maybe he'll get deployed but I don't care. He won't fight and will probably have something like 50 soldiers around him all the time. It's just for publicity, to show of how brave he is. Ordinary soldiers who went to Iraq and Afghanistan are more heroes than him, especially the ones that have already died.

You do know he was refused to go at first, and that he has had to argue to get to go, basically. And hell, he is doing alot more than people on this board is doing!

he should be get the same treatment as other soldiers, with the same privelages as other soldier's, if he getsa shot, tough, i dont care if hes a part of the royal family, they havent done anything for my country anyway
