well without al gore, i wouldnt be surfing the interwebs now. we owe a lot to him and he should have won. did i mention he invented bottled water too? and sliced bread? and the question mark??LoG-SacramentI never got that joke about Al Gore inventing the Internet :?
[QUOTE="LukeAF24"][QUOTE="HupHupOranje"]Al Gore did sort of win the popular vote. Sadly the Electoral vote is what counts. Oh well.jd7-03In over 50% of states, it is law for the Electoral to vote in recognition of the popular vote. Besides, the Popular Vote theory was shot down by our founding fathers for good reason. The electoral college was formed as the founding fathers believed that Americans were not capable to fully vote a president in, they believed people were not intelligent enough to have the decision solely rest in them. So by the electoral college terms Bush is better suited for the job, even though the people voted Gore in. However we now know that Bush will go down as one of the worst presidents in this countries history, due to starting an illegal war, ignoring the constitution numerous times, and driving the country further into debt. That doesn't sound like democracy to me...
