People of color, do you sometimes wish you were caucasian?

I sometimes feel worthless being Filipino (born in Canada). We're practically the Mexicans of the 21st century. I know there are a lot of factors that I'm leaving out but it makes me sad when I see a lot of overseas filipinos coming here to work in fast food, cleaning, or people a nanny for a rich white family.

Its admirable that they have to make sacrifices to come here, but at the same time it feels kind of defeating seeing all these filipinos working these jobs. I also feel very UGLY being filipino. Its just plain envy for me. I just think white people are a better looking race than others. 

This won't end well.  

Just start body building and it will eliminate 99% of your self image issues.  You will be more attractive than most caucasians and most people in general.

I'm somewhat in your same camp, I'm hispanic but I indentify wit caucasians MUCH much more. It really messes my life up because I wish that I could have conversations with family members in english, seeing as that is who I am, as a result I'm not as close to my family as I would otherwise be.

Yeah, but only for a chance to see what it's like to not have to deal with issues that comes with being a minority. Plus, It'd be easier to pick a racists brain from the inside, since my black ass ain't getting into any klan meetings lol.

it probably doesnt help that many asian people are really racist, and they do view Filipinos almost as the mexicans of Asia

I can understand a disconnect between Filipino culture and what you like but hating your race and more specifically yourself for being that race is downright pathetic. I don't think its hatred, it's an identity issue, there's alot of conflict when you're surrounded by a culture and people that's not reflective of who you are, that alienation is VERY rough, I've dealt with it most of my life and as a result of I have alot of parent issues (I tend to fantasize about having english-speaking parents to this day, and I'm in my mid-twenties). I'm also very bipolar, agoraphobic, and depressed.

In my case, I don't hate hispanics, or hispanic culture, I don't identify with them in the slightest, big difference from hatred.

But OP, asians are the least stigmized people on this planet, you can pretty much blend most easily into any culture and be at home there. You have to find a community where you belong.

Not really no. The color of my skin has never been a huge deal for me. I'm pretty much a human like everyone else as much as some people want to delude themselves into thinking otherwise. Like a color of a person skins it suppose to display dominance or something....

I'm mixed with black, white, Hispanic, and a little Native American (I have more black blood than the other three tho; I'm 50% black and the other three comprise the remaining %) and never once did I wish I was white. I feel sorry for people who think that way.

Being white isn't the greatest thing in the world. I myself am white, I am eastern european and my skin color is a lot more light then most people around me. Honestly, just accept yourself for who you are. Life isn't that long. It's not worth it to stress yourself out over things that shouldn't matter. People should accept you for YOU! If they don't, drop em, there are always gonna be haters. 

No, plain and simple.
