You read correctly, it's time for GameSpot's newest tradition, determing GameSpot's official approval rating!

Why should you vote?

There are several reasons, actually. Rather than posting about how GameSpot sucks, the reviews are terrible, the mods are all jerks, and risk facing punishment from the power wielding forces from above, you can just voice your discomfort through this poll and we'll tell you they care!

There are plenty of other reasons... that, uh.. will be provided at a later point in time.. continue reading! :D

What are some factors to consider before voting?

Is GameSpot thriving? Has the site taken steps in order to help the community? Here are some points to consider:

• Censor policy change: yay or nay?

• GameSpot moderators doing an adequate job of maintaining a nice community, or are they power hungry robots who only have one goal in life: to abuse their power and make seemingly well GameSpot members suffer horribly?

• Is the site doing an adequate job of writing reviews, previews, etc. in an efficient and professional manner? Or are you pissed off because they didn't review some obscure Wii game that one other site on the entire internet even bothered to look at? Voice your concern!

• Has GameSpot handled unions appropriately? Are they trying to diminish the effectiveness of unions by blaming random "bugs" for not being able to recruit new members?

• Do you support the idea of adding a marketplace to GameSpot through Fuse, or the idea of adding achievements to member profiles through whatever the hell that thing is called? (Think it has something to do with a dinosaur)

• Have the leaders of GameSpot not brought enough change? Is the current framework of the site outdated, does more attention need to be paid to our infrastructure?

Please review these points and more before casting your ballot.

1. This thread is inspired by Riddick's approval rating thread, which had quite a few people mistakingly thinking it was for GameSpot.

2. I has another surprize for OT. My 3000th post will bring something special. That is all.

I like GS. They can be a bit harsh in their reviews at times, but otherwise I enjoy what they do.

I only hate it when they get ban happy, which happended not too long ago.

I approve of most stuff but I do feel they are harsh on things like rpg's and are too kind on big named games..

ALways happens before new Mods are made..Not saying thats a bad thing..I only miss that Kurt russel dude.

I approve of GS strongly...But only so much can be changed on their end since its owned by CBS and I am pretty sure that the parent company weants to keepo this PG 13 :(

Some aspects I can be annoying at times (like some of my moderations in the past), but GS is the only forum I will post on, so it must be all right

I'm still waiting on a f***ing birth certificate. There needs to be an amendment to the ToU about this.
