Need help with a girl - Please

So Prom is coming up for me, and I need some help.

There's a girl I want to ask. I want to ask her as a friend, not a date.

Should I just casually ask her in person?

OR

Get her flowers and ask her at her doorstep?

Asking as a friend, I do not know. And I'm a senior, don't know if that helps...

I would get her flowers anyway. Don't be so cheap about it. Seriously. Even if you don't see her more than just a friend, still value her and make it formal.

"Would you like to go to prom with me?"

Just plain ask her. If she says no then get another one.

Ask with a single rose. Girls like that.

Flowers to me would be overkill. I'd want them on prom night, but if a boy gave me some while asking I'd assume he wanted to be more than friends.

Most girls want the prom experience even if it isn't a date-date. You're still taking her, regardless of motive, so don't cheap out.XilePrincess

You don't have to be all romantic just ask her nicely. I see no point in giving your friend a flower just to go to prom.

Np. Yes, I should have worded it differently. I already acknowledged to her that it might have looked negatively. Wasn't meant that way. Apologies to those who got offended by it.
