I signed up to join the army today, but my girlfriend doesn't want me to go and asked me to pull out.
I don't want to get in trouble. I'm not sure what to do now.
Any advice?

This thread is about something completely different than what I had in mind.
Make your own decisions?
[QUOTE="Omni-Slash"]sigh...misleading topic titles suck..so had a great one-liner too.. :(MichBelleI want to hear it anyway! thanks...but I'm jsut not in the mood....the moment was ruined....sigh...
If you already went to MEPS and signed your contract, you can't get out of it.
Also, why would you let a girlfriend make a career decision for you? Man up.
You can always go to Canada. If you already went to MEPS and signed your contract, you can't get out of it.

Bah, Go away, we didn't miss you!
don't contradict me What if he contradites you?Heh, called it. There should be some new material around here. You can always tell threads with titles like these are never about your first thought. I'm waiting for the day when someone posts a thread with a title along the same lines and actually posts what you think they will not.
This is definitely not what I expected you to say when I read the title. Blame me for being a man. If you chose to join, then it's your decision, not hers. She just doesn't want you to get hurt or killed, but it's really up to you. You can't let what a woman says dictate where you are heading in life. If she's a good girlfriend then she'll understand. Really this is a favor to you. If she's worth it, she'll stick around. If not, then she'll leave and you can focus on finding the right one when you return.I signed up to join the army today, but my girlfriend doesn't want me to go and asked me to pull out.
