MP3 Player (Advice)

Hi all.

Am looking to get an MP3 player. But I dont really wanna go the way of the ipod, they just dont do it for me at all.

Was just wondering if anyone could give some tips and what not on other brands they have used or know are good.

If anyone can help, that would be great.

the zune is good and theres a new one thats coming out with a touch screen and a web browser kinda like the ipod touch

on september 8, the zune hd is coming out in the US wait until then, then import it. it has double the memory than the ipod touches at their price points (rumor: ipod touch 8GB and Zune HD 16GB are $250, ipod 16GB and Zune 32GB are $300, etc.)

I use the 4 gig Sony Walkman. I play mp3's and music videos from youtube. 4gig is like $79 U.S.D. while 8 gig is $99 U.S.D. WAYYYYY CHEAPER THEN IPOD.

Depends on the amount of memory you need:
For high capacity I would go Zune

For something 32 gig or under, Sony and Creative Labs are pretty good

Zune is best non iPod way for high capacity, BUT, the customer service is AWFUL (like, really really awful, first hand experience here).

Creative Zen/X-Fi is good for price and quality, but aren't of the highest quality.

I have a Sony A826 with 4GB which cost 160 euros but because it has Bluetooth connectivity.

Anyway I usually prefer Sony's products because they are also very beautiful and feel good as devices, the menus are very easy to use and beautiful as well.

Cowon S9 has amazing sound quality and battery life. Seriously, you really can't go wrong with it.Elemayo

I have a 30 GB Zune right now that I've been using for the past 2 years and I love it but the Zune HD is attractive enough to make me want to upgrade when it releases this fall.
