Most saddest song?

Now usually I hardly get emotional over a song, but there is one, Dance With My Father - Luther Vandross.

The reason this song gets to me is just imagining what it would be like if it was true, it makes me sad.

Now that may sound pretty sad but its actually a very uplifting song :) Lyrics aren't everything in music.

Gosh there's so many sad songs out there it's rather hard to pick a handful of "bests".

So I'll just mention Nik Kershaw's "Wouldn't It Be Good" just because nobody here has probably heard of it but unfortunately no linky as I am at work.

Not sure. But for me it's nothing that involves a drum set in any way. Nothing destroys a melancholic mood more than having a metronomic beat shoved in your face.

Um I'd say THIS SONG.

Its Greek but the chorus says:
