Do you consider your job to be a job-job or just a "I'm going to a different place now at 8 a.m but I'm still off the clock" :)?

Well, there are moments when I think: wow, I can call playing a game or attend some cool game event my JOB! But the reality is, I feel guilty if I play a game during regular work hours. After 5pm I feel better about it.

I need to have a real reason that I'm doing any playtesting with a game; like during Tournament TV days I had to playtest spectator mod, etc. Or, if I host a game night it has to be done during the hours I said I'd play. These days I don't play that many games at work unless it's during my lunch hour. But I'm often found not taking lunch breaks. I have lots to do in a day so I'm often found eating lunch at my desk while I work (then again, I've done that with most jobs I've had!). I'm a workaholic. HELP! - Jody

What Gamespot Game Night did you have the most fun playing in or watching?

Gosh, that's really difficult to answer. I have had way too much fun when I'm gaming. I'll cheat and say the most memorable ones rather than mentioning just one.

- Quake 1 15th anniversary game night. Some of you played for the first time! Seeing your responses to the trivia was also pretty neat, some found out about how machinima got their name and stuff! <3
- Quakelive game nights, ALL OF THEM BECAUSE PEOPLE GOT OWNED, well most did by my Rocket Launcher
- Portal Kombat game night - I'm not too skilled with Mortal Kombat but I held my own quite good that night!
- Gears of War 3 game night - not too many showed up but I really enjoyed playing Beast mode.
- Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 game nights! Lots of fun hanging with Game night regulars!
- Red Dead Redemption game night! I had a chance to get a variety of editors for that one! But, there was another game night the following week where some GameSpot members (you know who you are) tried to get a bounty achievement. We spent so many hours and lots of failures for some, but oh so much fun!
- Half-life game night
- Assassin's Creed brotherhood game night. We all were in the same voice chat so it was hilarious taunting each other when we weren't on the same teams!
- Minecraft game night hosted by Sophia was also cool; I liked her screenshot collection for that one.
- Burnout Paradise game night, which was pretty fun. And, from telling people I wanted to get more billboards, I made one wacky billboard song!
- Kind of game night related, but more about playing games with staff internally or attending game event parties. Some of my favorite memories with involved Rock Band! Here's one of the memorable ones were caught on film. I'm a huge fan of singing, so naturally, hearing people I know sing is an event in itself. I have yet to upload some videos of staff singing at some point.

Are you a cat or dog person?

I'd say I'm an animal fan in general. I've had all types of pets in my time, even reptiles and fish. ;)

When they were more popular did you ever spend a lot of time in arcades?

Definitely. I often found it weird that I was the only girl there. And, when there were girls there, I brought them!

We are having a romantic dinner, what should I cook for you?

HAH! Anything that isn't found in the sea!

What games are you playing now?

Mass Effect 3 and recently got back into League of Legends. But, I keep having the desire to jump back into Skyrim.

1. Why don't you review games?

I share why in my fifth anniversary video- check 1 minute in! Long story short, I like playing the games, and dissecting games like a frog isnt my thing! I used to do previews type of stories back in the day, but the job I have right now keeps me busy enough.

2. Are you anticipating Mass Effect 3 ?

Yep. I'm playing through single player and plan to get some multiplayer action later.

3. Would you want to be very successful video game executive like Jade Raymond in future ?

Nope! She has lots of courage to be constantly in the lime light.

Ever get tired of the you're so HOT comments from fans?

People say weird stuff on the internet and often times they don't mean it.

I hear more stuff about how fat and ugly I am than I do about being hot or cute. When people meet me in person they take it back and say I rock (yep, they dont say i'm cute, fat or ugly! They think I ROCK, and then I know I WIN!

We haven't built out a schedule lately. Seems like a lot of editors are too busy lately to get involved. I was asked last Thursday about a game night that they'd like to have though. We'll see if that happens.

Do you ever play with other GS users on steam or live, or do just find us annoying? If you do, I would understand; I know how women are treated on the internets.

I dont have a lot of alerts enabled to know if people are being annoying. When I do check my messages they are delayed. How can I get annoyed when they enjoy the same games I do!

When's the next moderator draft?

No plans for any moderators draft. The ToU changes has caused us to have less things to moderate. What we are looking for is people who have knowledge about specific games to become Rangers in our game boards. We'll be posting some news about the game boards changes in the coming week or so.

If you could make your own video game, what would it be about, and what would it be like?

Funny enough, I used to fantasize about a type of FPS meets C&C game back in the day. C&C Renegade might have not been the best shooter, but it fufiled my dreams because I was such a fan of the original one. These days I don't have a dream game. Wait, now that I think about it, an Age of Empires first person game would be interesting!

Why on Earth do you do what you do?

My history with getting a chance to meet gamers in person and interacting online in games and such just keeps me going. Sure, I come across little quirks here and there, but they are so often redundant for the line of work I do. I often don't see it as a negative, it's just the internets.

Do you ever lose sleep thinking about Gamespot?

I think GameSpot is one community that has caused me to sleep better. Back when I ran Quake3world.com and had only 3 moderators happens to be the days when I rarely slept at all. For one, I had to get news up before other places (patch releases, etc), but I also had to to set my alarm to wake up every 2 hours to check for viruses and piracy links in the forums because it was id Software's official fansite. ;)

It was from some episode of On the Spot. I think it was done in preparation for the Japanese launch of the 3DS. Or maybe it was the US launch.

I'm a fan of most types of music. Country is often the music I don't care for but if I'm forced to listen to the same song 5-10 times I like it. That happened a lot when I lived in Texas.

Well, I'd still give you the same answer. People dislike games I like. I say okay and stop sharing why I love it so much. Same thing here. You dislike the Terms of use agreement. Many GameSpot members have loved it and have not been moderated since last November. GameSpot editors and other staff enjoy the new rules because our members can be themselves as long as the content doesn't fall under offensive, illegal, and harassment.

I guess the better question is whether or not you have seen that content on our site. You won't because anything like that gets reported to the authories and our legal department is also contacted. No exceptions.
