Besides, the whole role model argument is a load of crap to begin with. These people got into the business to A.) make money, and B.) entertain. Miley Cyrus does both of these, and that is all she is obligated to do. Itswhat we call a mutually beneficial relationship.

If the end consumer wants to take the relationship between themselves and the provider to the next step (i.e. assuming she'd be a good role model for their child), go for it...but if it backfires, its your ass. Dont go blaming the person providing the entertainment.

I agree, kids need to be happy with themsleves.

Also, parents need to realize that people setting bad examples are good anti-role models...you can tell your child "See? She wasnt so great after all. Just another skank" and your daughter will ask "Whats a skank?" and you can say "Well, its a woman who dresses poorly and does stupid, overtly-sexual things and everyone is nice to her but behind her back they all think she is a bad person".

I love my dad more than anything, but he was an excellent anti-role model for me to follow. Because of him I am A.) not an alcoholic, B.) enjoy being around crowds of random people, C.) am a very easygoing person. He is the exact opposite of these things and I made a very concious effort not to be like him.
