Yep, and that's why this right here is gonna be the last thing I say about it. That performance was just embarassing, but that was DELIBERATE, I f***ing guarantee it. She can't sell herself on actual talent, so the idea is to come up with the most embarrassing and cringeworthy thing possible in order to get people talking about how much it sucked. So...it's clear that railing on about how much this sucked (or discussing it in any way whatsoever) accomplishes EXACTLY what she set out to do. And I can't really justify participating in that when there are actual talented music artists living in their cars. So yes, this was just utterly horrible. It's also a HUGE success because the reaction it's causing is exactly the reaction that it was intended to cause. I personally want no part in that, so from this point forward I refuse to say another word about her.Well, I guess her plan worked.Â
People are talking about her. Whole performance was either hilarious in a bad way or just cringeworthy though.Â

I remeber when people lost their goddamn minds over this back in '84...
Seems quaint by comparison now.Â

Okay, remember a couple of posts ago when I said I wasn't going to say any more about this? Well, I changed my mind (damn, that was fast). I just have to address something here. Some people commenting on this performance seem to be working under the assumption that people who hate this performance are just a bunch of prudes. I'm seeing comments like "why should Miley Cyrus have to be a role model" or "it's a sexually charged performance, but what's wrong with that?" And here's the thing about that. While I don't doubt that that's the primary complaint that some people have, it's unfair to stereotype all of the complainers for having that attitude. For some people, the issue isn't sexuality or lack of taste, it's that the performance is just plain stupid as $hit. Make no mistake, celebrities have been selling themselves on sexuality for a LONG ass time. Like, hell, freaking Madonna. But look through Madonna's performances back when she was at the height of her popularity as a sex symbol, and you'll notice something: most of the complaints were not about her performances being stupid as $hit. This Miley Cyrus $hit, on the other hand...it reminds me of Tom Green asking his daddy if he'd like some sausage. It reminds me of going to the movies and seeing the trailer for something like "Epic Movie". It's not even about being offensive or distasteful, it's about being moronic as all hell.I remeber when people lost their goddamn minds over this back in '84...

Is it just me or is Miley completely unattractive and unsexy?GazaAli
It's absolutely not just you. She's about as sexy as a steaming pile of fresh roadkill. I suspect she smells worse.

I've met a 10 dollar hooker who was sexier than Miley Cyrus, and looked cleaner.
And that's not even a joke.Â
Apparently the Smith family picture is them reacting to Lady Gaga, not Miley.

Indeed it is. Just goes to show how fvcking disgusting modern pop music (and the people making it) has become. You see their faces, knowing it was at the VMAs, and it's like, "obviously they're watching hannah montana get assfvcked by beetlejuice", but no. There was  another  performance that night, also worthy of such a reaction.
At least Madonna was attractive and sexy. Miley is repulsive. And Madonna had some pretty hardcore live shows, but it was well done and not goofy.ÂI remeber when people lost their goddamn minds over this back in '84...

Not a fan of either but the difference in raw talent on display is mind boggling. Madonna at least had something to say and she is certainly talented...I don't know WTF is going on with today's generation.I remeber when people lost their goddamn minds over this back in '84...

It's less abot the 'generation' as it is the rate they hand out contracts to talentless hacks. You clearly don't have to work your ass off as much to get into the 'starlight' position.

Miley has her Dad to thank for her fame. You know it.Of course, hence why I said no work was required. Justin Bieber was given his fame because another celebrity saw him on a youtube home video.Â
All this "Miley is rachet" shit is just calling attention to how unattractive she is. She gets these black broads to stand around and act shocked when she twerks, when all it does is call attention to the fact that she has no real body to work with. This "rebellious" phase is so calculated and corporate. I wouldn't mind so much if i felt she was really being herself finally, but it's so obvious that all of this was concocted by her record label and her publicist to shed the Disney image she used to have. Rhazaknarachet? anyway, I saw the footage and it almost seems like she enjoyed doing that.
At least Madonna was attractive and sexy. Miley is repulsive. And Madonna had some pretty hardcore live shows, but it was well done and not goofy. The whole performance with Miley just looks like a mental patient who's gone off her meds for way too long.  Especially with the whole tongue thing.[QUOTE="Hallenbeck77"]

http://vigilantcitizen.com/musicbusiness/mtv-vmas-2013/.MrPralineGreat article...especially with stuff like: "During Blurred Lines Miley acted like a true Beta programming slave while Robin acted like a handler. His strange suit featured a dualistic pattern that is used during the programming actual MK slaves." Seriously sounds like something out of the movie Zoolander  Not that I don't doubt the whole thing could have been staged/publicity stunt...this article takes it pretty far though heh.

That article is absolutely hilarious!
I had no idea the Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga acts were the product of conspiratorial power playing on a level that makes the Illuminati look like an Octopus' Garden.
