That's just plain weird and disturbing. I'm pretty sure why most lurkers lurk is because they simply like to read what other people think, and can be intimidated in case their opinion gets targeted by others. So they choose not to post, and just stay silent. That's really all it is.

well here is why I lurk...

I just love reading the threads and posts on these boards...simple as that...if I really feel the need to comment on the thread then I do. but usually that is not the case because here's the strange thing about me: if I make a comment on a thread I feel the need to stay on that thread for a long time waiting for someone to reply to me or quote...not because I want simply someone to acknowlege me, but because for some reason I like to reply to every quote towards me said so I know the other users know I simply did not ignore their reply...that's why I never really get off GS until the thread is flooded to the second or third page...I guess it's kind of a minor OCD thing on my part. and because I have that little habit, it takes up so much time where I could be doing something better...so instead of posting what I think and wait and reply other replies hours on end, I just sit back, quietly behind my laptop, and look over all of you like the "Big Brother" of some post-apocolyptic utopia and see eveything you do!!! MUAHAHA ...lol nah but seriously, I really enjoy the stuff you guys do and say...and sometimes when I screw around with my friends I would say, "hahaha you remind me of *insert GS user name here*, that one one time when he/she *insert random happening here*....he's then like "WTF?"

so there...my plans secret motives are revealed!!1!!!!11
