Probably the best segment from the new season.

I think all of his main segments are really well done. He really digs in and covers the subjects quite thoroughly so you get a decent understanding of the subject at hand all while being charming and funny.

As someone with both a Bachelors and a Masters I'm the first to tell people The American Secondary Education system is one huge scam.

I have degrees in Music Education and a Masters in Education Administration and my title is Regional Director of Sales for an International Company.

They didn't give a crap about my degree, just that I had one, and it proved I was willing to wade nose deep through an endless cesspool of bullshit to achieve a goal

When airshocker and John Oliver agree on something its pretty much guaranteed that they're right. :P

There are very few things that I disagree with John Oliver about. I think he did something about gun control that I didn't agree with, but that might be it.

Ah my mistake, for some reason I figures you two wouldn't agree much

To be fair, though, I haven't seen every single segment.

Yeah, I came to the conclusion a while ago that there isn't really much of a reason to watch college sports outside of the occasional trip to your alma mater. I'm not even talking about a boycott in protest or anything. It's just... without the sheen of it being an amateur competition, there isn't much to make it stand out above the other professional leagues which have better structures and level of play.

@Nuck81: Your degrees would have been a lot more useful if you would have gone into education.

And you got the job, it's clear your degrees were worthless for you.

I did. I taught band from 2003 to 2012. Every summer I worked at a local production factory to help pay for my student loans.

After I payed off my loans I continued to work there the next summer to pay for my wedding and Honeymoon.

The company I worked for recognized my work ethic and offered me a 6 figure position which I accepted. That's why I'm no longer in Education

Which wouldn't be a bad thing if these athletes were compensated properly.

@airshocker: There might have been a smaller segment but of those long-form segments he does I don't remember a gun control one. You might be thinking of his report on Ferguson/police militarization.

You're right. I remember partly agreeing with him on that, but mostly disagreeing.
