Well I'm sure its more exciting if you're at the actual game and cheering with people when stuff happens.

It's just a nice chill game to watch. I enjoy watching baseball when I have time. I guess it's something you have to grow into.

I find it exciting. I love baseball. I grew up with baseball, so it has always been something I liked. I love how the pitchers set up a count (the good ones at least) and then just throw absolute filth to strike out a hitter. I also love seeing a hitter turn on a mistake pitch and crush it into the stands. Baseball is extremely interesting for me, but I know a lot of people find it boring. I also love keeping track of players' stats and such.

It's not for everyone and it's all a matter of opinion. I love it and I think it's more exciting than other sports out there (except Futbol and Basketball, they're just as exciting)

See i can understand that, i just had it on the tv, and i could kind of watch it as i was just searching the fourms here, but someone i was talking too actually used the words Baseball and intense in the same sentence, and really? honestly?

I cannot for the life of me understand how people can watch it on tv. I always wondered about America's fascination with this sport. Is it because it's a relatively cheap sport to go see? Seeing a sport live is much different than the television. Especially as a child I bet if anyone went to a bunch of games growing up you'd have a love of the sport great enough to watch it on tv.

Believe it or not, but it definitely gets intense(especially if great teams or players are on). The playoffs are pretty damn intense. I remember watching the mets-cards playoff series from a few years ago. That was an amazing series.

I like to play it on a hot summer day with friends, but it is never a sport I would consider playing in a league or watching. Watching the highlights and seeing good hits and catches is good though.

Fun to play, but a little too slow paced to watch IMO. Games can still be very exciting if the players are good and there is some element of suspense, though.

I've only been to two games in my life, and yeah it can be boring at times. But when "stuff" happens it can be kind of exciting. Watching my school "North Florida" upset the University of Florida team was really great. I'm not really a fan btw, but I'm trying to kind of get into the sport.

The only sport I can watch on tv is soccer. Oh, and hockey. Other than that, I have to actually be at the game to find it exciting.

If you know how to play, it's very exciting. Often times people who find it boring don't really know what's going on.

I think I prefer golf and baseball over Nascar. I can watch people drive around an oval only so many times before falling asleep.

I love watching baseball. It goes at a very methodical pace and no matter how much baseball you watch, there is always going to be something crazy you'll see in a game that you have never seen before.

Woah woah woah....Baseball can be pretty boring, but Nascar? It's the least exciting of the motorized sports...if you consider it a sport. I would rather watch lawnmowers race.

I love baseball. It's just so tense to watch, because the whole game can change with one swing of the bat.

I go to college baseball games to hang out and stuff but that is mostly because they are free for students. I don't think that I would ever any significant amount of money to go to one and watching it is way to boring to watch on tv.

I think it's very exciting to attend a game and to read about but not too exciting to watch. Despite that, I still somehow find the whole atmosphere of baseball with all its specific sights and sounds to be oddly compelling. I've just never been much of a fan of any teams so I've never really gotten into keeping track of who is doing what.

**Bleep** no. It's about as exciting as bowling, or darts, or golf, or pool. Any sport with extended downtime between spurts of action is pretty damn dull to watch or play.

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of baseball in the first place, but how is it a thinking game? Something like football has a much larger element of strategy, and even there it's a bit suspect.

Incorrect. I just don't feel like explaining. But you sure tried to sound smart. You shouldn't test me son. Should I go ahead and explain why, and make you look silly?

It is sort of difficult to explain, especially over the internet. A lot of baseball is making educated guesses. Knowing the right time to steal a base, the right time to bunt, the right time to hit and run, the right time to throw a changeup, the right time to throw inside...and so on and so on.

Yep, that's some of it. It's a constant outsmarting of your opponent... anticipating what they're going to do, and trying to turn it against them.

Not to mention it's all about situations too and what to do when they come up. Batter has a 3-1 count, does he take the pitch that might be ball 4 or should he swing away? Speedy runner on first, do you keep holding him on throwing over to first or just ignore and pitch away? There are many other situations that require a lot of thinking.
