I heard that in America you guys don't get Milk in bags. Just in cartons...is that true?

Here in Canada we get our milk in bags and put them in a milk bag holder thingy...

Here in Canada we get our milk in bags and put them in a milk bag holder thingy...

That is really weird. A bag container can't be resealed, can it? I mean, you can put the cap on a gallon jug of milk but it's lot like you can close a bag you cut open... where's the nutritional info, brand name, etc?

I don't get it. Why the bag? You have to put it into a container when you get home any way. We get ours already IN the container. The bag makes no sense.

they come in one big bag. You get 3 in total. The big bag that they come in has the brand name etc...

I'm Canadian and this is the first I have ever seen, or heard of milk in plastic bags. I've only ever seen jugs and cartons. What part of Canada are you people with bags of milk at?

My dad told me the milk man actually used to bring a bag of milk when he lived in Oregon. I've heard of bagged milk prior to this, but I've only seen it in the carton or jug. Just seems to make more sense that way, probably because I grew up with that. But hey, if the bags work, then why not?
