Are all the boys like that? Because if they are... I might turn lesbian. >_>

That hurt even MY feelings and I'm not even the one who got dumped.

"Sorry, I don't like you, you seemed much cooler when I saw you standing near the water cooler. God, why did I ask you out in the first place...? Oh right, the mini skirt. Alright, I'll just make a topic about it on Gamespot now. Kthnxbai."

[QUOTE="moptopskate"]WOOHOO!! Im free! yeahhh! For the past two months Ive been going out with this girl. She is really hot but she talks way too much. And she is very clingy and needy. She would ALWAYS want to hang out. What is so hard to figure out about men?? We are simple animals, we dont want to hang out every single second of the day! She was fine with it when I broke up with her so its all good. All of my girlfriends have been the same way which is the reason why my longest relationship was only 3 months. Anyone ever been with a girl who was way too clingy?RainandSunshine

Sounds like you've been in alot of superficial relationships. You need to work on your social skills and the quality of your personality.

lol my social skills are fine i just dont want to date an ugly girl. You have to be attracted to a person to like them and I have pretty high standards.

[QUOTE="moptopskate"]1) come on grow up.

2) this is how it works.

3) dont assume that I am some a-hole who just went out with the girl for her looks.

4) If I wanted to tell you personally how I really felt about her I would write a whole book about it

5) and even then you would still assume. Chitzu

1) No, youuu grow up. I'm telling my mommy.

2) This is not how it works.

You aren't supposed to be happy when you break up with somebody.

3) I assume you're some a-hole who just went out with the girl for her looks.

4) What, you'd write a book about how happy you are since you dumped her?

5) That's so true.

If you dont like a person you break up with them. Maybe thats not what you do but thats what I do. If you break up with someone you are usually happy and content, but if they break up with you, its usually the other way around. Judging by your avatar, I guess you have been broken up with a lot of times. Which isnt surprising since you are a girl that is on an internet gaming forum.

No not me. I care about the personality first, how smart they are then looks they can't be too ugly though.

dude there is nothing wrong with clingy just atleast have a talk with her and let her kno whats up. u didnt have to break up wit her...as a dude bro that was the worst move possiblestereointegrity

I talked to her and let her know what was up and she still was clingy. I didnt like her that much to keep going out with her and deal with the clingy stuff so I just broke up with her. She was fine with it and hoped that we could be friends which we are now. I can get other girls so this wasnt a bad move. I just want to chill with my buds and enjoy my young life and then worry about a relationship later.

I know this is a little late in the topic to be talking about the first post...but here goes.

I was with my ex for 2 1/2 years...She was very needy/clingy. We spent nearly every second of the day together because she just wanted to. Granted, I didn't have one single problem with her wanting to, because it was showing me attention.

Now, I'm with another girl, been with her for a month, and the same thing goes. I'm always at her apartment, spending nights there. There's nothing wrong with a girl being clingy. What you need to do is talk to her and let her know you don't wanna spend EVERY second of the day with her, and that you want to live your own life.

Umm. I can answer that.

Too much attention on you means they want attention back.

What if you want to play video games or go get altered with your friends and your woman is constantly around yammering and being an irritation?

I've dumped girls for being around too much. Though I asked them to stop, first, then I went on a "break".

Then I was like, ugh, go away, stop it.

Really? I mean really? What if you want to play video games? REALLY? At some point kid, you're gonna have to grow up. Video games aren't the be-all-end-all of this thing we call Life.

My point exactly. Growing up. You're 26 and still playing games like it's the best thing since candy. Granted, it's alright in moderation, but choosing video games over your "wife" isn't the smartest idea. But hey, it's your life.

Maybe it's because I'm independent, but I've never been one to like having to spend all my time with someone.

Maybe it's being selfish, I don't know, or care.

LOL sounds like me... I broke up with my ex a month ago, couple days later I went to a club with a friend to free my mind and right there I met a girl... we've been seeing since, but the relation isn't even 3 weeks old and she's already complaining that I'm not free enough for her... damn it I'm working evenings full time, I got plenty of stuff to fix with my ex like buying back her half of our condo and buying back stuff she's leaving with and what not, I just can't be with you everyday! And even if I could, it's clearly not what I wish, I barely know you and I'm just out of a serious relation...

I'm giving her the goodbyes tonight.

Yeah, that's really bad. That was the reason i broke up with my first GF.

Though later i found out that a simple talk could resolve a lot of things.

Yeh I hate clingy. I've had a bf that INSISTED on coming round every Saturday for 9 hours, no less. I could never go out with my mates on a Saturday and when I asked if I could do work for a couple of hours so he should come round later he went mental. If I took too long in the shower or just nip away from MSN for 10 mins without saying anything he'd get stroppy.

Once I said I was off to KFC and I'd be about 40 mins but I saw my old mates there and got chatting and came back a couple of hours later and he was furious saying he thought there'd been an accident or something:roll:

I'm glad I'm out of that one. He ruined my 16th birthday and I'm still a bit mad about that one. I went skiing that morning at X-Scape with a friend and said to him I'd be back around 3pm but I wasn't sure so I said I'd ring him once I was back. He insisted on coming at 3 and said he was fine to wait around. I went to Pizza Hut after and got back at 4:30 to find him. He shouted at me so I went to the park and left him at my house. My brother said he was in my room crying for a couple of hours before I came back.

Luckily I'm with a chilled out, brilliant lad called Braindead_hero ;) I love him to bits and he's never clingy and we never argue :)

EDIT: Sorry about the incredibly long post, I couldn't stop lol :)

Clingy girls are great IMO they make you feel more important then you really are.

well idk to me a man can't realize what is important in his life is the one woman with loves him the most. take it from me it's been about a year since my ex left me and i tell you the truth if i could get a chance to make up for all my mistakes i would. after being apart it's hard because now there isn't anyone around to help you believe in yourself. Or anyone to talk to and laugh with, i mean right now in college again and it's lost its meaning for me to keep going because i want to go after my dreams but to me my dreams mean nothing if theres no one to share it with. i even gave in to my ego and build me a new pc but now what i say? is this really going to make me happy? can anything of material value bring me happiness? no so if this gf of yours wasn't someone you really loved in the first place fine i'm glad you ended it but if you ended it for a another person then i ask you this "well this new person love as much as the one you was with?"

Hahahahahahahaha. Lulz to you.

I should grow up and learn that? An acceptable hobby? Really? A real man puts a woman before their desires, regardless if they are completely addicted to video games much like yourself. I don't care about your retort to that, because it is the exact truth. Men SHOULD put women before whatever they desire. No excuses.

I should grow up and learn that? An acceptable hobby? Really? A real man puts a woman before their desires, regardless if they are completely addicted to video games much like yourself. I don't care about your retort to that, because it is the exact truth. Men SHOULD put women before whatever they desire. No excuses.3eyedrazorback
Have fun with your life serving some poor pitying woman.

A real man should do what he wants with his time. Be it sports, video games, car racing, book reading, whatever. Those can't all be done with the woman. Time apart makes the time together that much sweeter.

You obviously haven't had many serious relationships.

FURTHERMORE, do you really want to be with a woman that can't entertain her own bloody self?

Jesus H. Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

Poor pitying woman. You really think I would want to spend my entire life with a woman who can't do things for herself? I'm sorry, better question...do you have any idea what you're talking about?

Do you really not see what's in front of you? If you please a woman and show her 100% committment, the favor will be returned in due time. It's inevitable. I do things on my own time, she can come along if she desires. I play intramural sports all the time. I read all the time. I study all the time. She's usually with me when I do them. You are right about the time apart makes the time together sweeter. I'll give credit where it is due. I'm spending time with my gal right now, because I'm heading out to North Carolina for 2 months this summer to counsel at a summer camp. Forgive me for showing my affection while I can...

All I'm saying is that 100% devotion doesn't mean 100% time. O.o

I called her and asked her about this, as lame as that is, and she values her time too.

So, *sticks his tongue out*

In the end, she said arguing about this on the forums makes us both children.
