How Much Do You Fit the Stereotypes of the Music You Listen To?

For Example,

Techno - nerdy, likes anime, kind of a loner

Emo - wear tight clothes, hair over one eye, crybaby,the whole nine yards

Nu metal - Full of angst, long baggy pants, black shirts, etc.

Death and/or Black Metal - fat slob with glasses who sits on a computer all day d/ling torrents of bands you can't pronounce

Pop/Punk - Anti-establishment, rebellous teen with a mohawk or some sort of spiked hair

Reggae - smoke a gratutitous amount of weed

Rock - rawr! Someone give me a stereotype of a rock listener, Idk... EDIT: plays guitar and/or drums has long hair...

Rap/Hip hop - wear a new outfit everyday to school, long baggy clothes, bling, grillz, etc.

Alternative -have a "don't care" attitude, say "whatever dude" a lot, smokes cigarettes, laid back

Orchestrial - Classy, wears a monicle, top hat, I have no idea what I'm typing at this point...

Well, I listen to alot of rock and alternative and I have long hair, play guitar.......pretty much it reallyzepman71

yea, its ridiculous how much that world is throw around these days. I got called it in high school even though I'm a mish mash. I wear kinda tight black shirts of metal bands (because i'm skinny), jeans, and have semi-emo hair w/o the over the eye non-sense. And I'm nota "scene" kid either, I despise them:evil:

You've got kind of the wrong stereotype on techno fans dude. In good shape, white, slim, tight shirts, good looking people. Lotsa friends. I either don't fit in with the stereotype or you've got the wrong picture on danceculture in Holland.

I primarily listen to Rap/Hip Hop/That stuff most people on this forum hate.

I'm a white guy who is a graduate student in the sciences.

I guess I don't fit the "stereotypes" of the music I listen to at all.

well i listen to ska,emo,punk,pop,rock,alternative and im a small semi muscular kid with crazy curly hair hahaha...i dont really fit into any of the stereo types of my music

haha some kid called me that once in 11th grade because i wore jeans and the only black shirt i owned the ONE day...i almsot got up and bet the crap outta him but my friend grabbed my shoulders hahha

i dress more ghetto then i do punk but at the same time i think rock is way better then rap. but thats just my opinion

I don't. Stereotypes are ridiculous, and are only used by people who find fault within themselves, and don't care to attempt to conquer it and have to force their problems on someone else.

To directly answer the question, though, I listen to all music, so there's really no point in trying to name a stereotype, if I even followed one.

I listen to Rise Against and Smashing Pumpkins, but I almost dress preppy. It's odd.hachiman128
