How many of your friends have fallen prey to cigarettes?

A fair number of mine have, but they're not really people who I cared that much about if they really wanted to. This person today though.. It was so weird. I was just walking around my school, and I was passing the 'smoking area' where people go to smoke, (Although it's not allowed at our school, smoking that is) with a friend and then I just looked at her and looked in to her eyes the second she was taking a drag, and her expression didn't change atall, and neither did mine but I was so.. Disappointed in her.I didn't think she would be the type to do it.. But then again I wouldn't have thought that of any of my other friends who have started smoking in the first place.I guess I just have to lower my expectations of people.

Productivity and health are two wholly different things.

You never mentioned health - and either way, playing videogames and posting on forums isn't the most healthy thing either. If you smoked occasionally and used free time to exercise as opposed to sitting on the computer posting on forums or playing videogames, I think you'd be fine.

Are you seriously creating an argument between the merits of cigarettes over computer usage or gaming? That is petty.

Thats only after 20 odd years of hardcore smoking. Thing is I only smoke a cig or two a day and I've only smoked for a year

A few of my friends are kind of what you'd call "social smokers"...like they'll only smoke with friends or at parties and stuff. I'm kind of like that too. None of my friends are regular smokers, though.

One of my best friends does every once in a while, but he definitely controls it. He only likes to smoke cigars every so often, but it was still surprising to see it.
