Well, do you have any ideas on how to make the forum worst?

Most gaming websites tend to now just hire 20 something man boys the gamer is suppose to identify with or "oh look guys, hot girl" pretending to be your friend.
If you want to want of a modern gaming website, basically, be a boy band looking young male (preferably with a meme on his shirt) or an attractive bimbo who can bat her eyes (preferably with a meme on her shirt).
IMO although gamespot does dip into this category and is now desperately (and pathetically) attempting to mimic youtube personality culture, someone should be commended for having the willingness and open mindedness to use unconventional staff like Carolyn Petit or openly gay people like Kevin Vanord at the forefront (as in on the front page) on a major gaming website.
It's kinda sad you actually have to compliment that in the first place, but eh.
@arkblaze I got in contact with Guy Cocker (what a great name!) back when he was in charge of the UK/London department, asking just the question you do now. The way I see it is: I am a gamer, I know lots of things about games, I can produce reviews, I can also create entertaining video clips if given the right equipment, and/or a willing producer. Many times, I've asked myself what it is that seperates us from these guys on GameSpot (Danny, Seb, Cameron, Jess to name a few). I could very much do what they do for a living, and I believe I could contribute to the field (To GameSpot-staff: send me a PM and we'll talk ;)
Mr. Cocker told me that it would help vastly if I had a "popular" gaming channel on sites such as YouTube. This would mainly function as a springboard into the "industry" and work kind of like an application, or a cv.
Another thing I believe would help directly, is a degree in journalism. I don't know the educational background for many of these people that I feel are more or less my equal (Seb, Cameron, Danny etc.), but I assume most of them have some education in journalism.
