Medium rare is where it's at. It's too bad most places' medium rare turn out to be medium by the time your steak gets to you lol.

Medium Rare like it is suppose to be. Any more cooked and you begin to cook some of the flavor out of the meat.

I used to have to get everything well-done when I was a kid. I tried medium-rare though a couple years ago and fell in love with steaks.

rare to medium rare and blue rare in some occasions (I don't usually eat blue rare not because I don't like it, but more because I don't trust the cooks, unless it's very fancy and expensive restaurant)

Medium, or medium well, I mainly go with medium well, but I gotta choose medium at some places because they don't know how to cook their steaks.

i like mine medium rare. i also had kobe beef sashimi. It's pretty good as well, considering it's just pure raw beef.

Brown with some nice grill marks on the outside, still pink and juicy on the inside.

Restaurants never seem to get it perfectly as I described. If I order medium-rare it will still be a bit bloody on the inside (which isn't bad but it's not what I asked for damn it! :x); if I order medium, it won't be nice and crispy on the outside like I described; and if I order medium-well, it will be overcooked on the inside. Whenever I get that perfect steak I want, it's just by dumb luck.

Either all the restaurants I've been to suck, or that perfect term I described is very hard to get. :(
