Lately Ive been finding myself falling asleep with lights and computer on much easier than everything off. I dont mind complete darkness but is just harder to do so.

Since I have tinitus its almost unbearable for me to get to sleep with silence alone, so I like to put on a video, audio or something to distract me.

And I forgot it must be cold enough so I can stay under the covers.

Gotta sleep with some kind of noise, so I need a fan. If I don't have a fan, I can't sleep because my sleep paralysis will bother me all night.

I spend half of my time sleeping on the recliner in front of my computer. I somehow fall asleep much easier that way. Though generally speaking, I often find it hard to fall asleep quickly.

At the very least, I like it to be as dark as possible and also have a fan running since I hate complete silence.

I usually play games or surf the web on my iPhone, to the point where I get too tired to continue, then lie down and quickly fall asleep.

If it takes more than five minutes for me to fall asleep then I usually get back up. In other words, on the vast majority of nights I am so tired that I will fall asleep to any surrounding. That stated, I do prefer absolute silence and total darkness upon falling asleep.

I think keeping active during the day always make me sleep better at night. During the day, I go to work. I go to school with lots of homework and projects. I have a family to mind and keep happy. After all those, I still find the time to game.

As soon as I lie down in bed. I'm out cold.

The light off in my bedroom, and the light in the landing nearby on, curtain closed as well, so its dark, but not dark in a sinister way. I can't fall asleep on my back for some reason, so I'm always on my side when I fall asleep.

I can sleep in any way, lights on or off, computer on, tv on, anything on. I don't sleep like that but when I DO fall asleep in these conditions is when I'm extremely tired. Otherwise my normal routine is tun the lights off, cover myself and sleep away....

It takes me forever to fall asleep. I have insomnia and tinnitus, so it's just all around a rather tedious ordeal. I tend to do best when the room is dark, cold, and there's soft noise (either quiet music or a fan).

I fall asleep on my stomach much easier than on my back. I like to put my hands under my body, on my chest. Like a mummy but laying on my stomach. Don't use a pillow when on my stomach. Sometimes I'll have it over my head.

I turn all the lights off and cover my body with my blanket but stick my nose out so I can get air, I also keep a fan on because the sound calms me down while I'm falling asleep.

I sleep in darkness, with a fan on, and my air purifier on. It's very difficult for me to sleep without noise (thus the fan and air purifier).

Really dark, with a blanket, a bunch of pillows and normally the fan on (I know, it doesn't make sense). Position depends. Either on my stomach with my face on the pillow and my arms kinda hugging underneath and my legs sprawled, or on my side in a sort of fetal position. Usually the former.

Same here, although I'm now used to sleeping without a fan. Sometimes, dead silence can conduce to adequate rest for me. I pretty much have the same sleeping position as you, incidentally. :V

Lights off, wrapped up under the blanket, head against the pillow, eyes closed. I'm not sure how long it takes me to fall asleep, though - depends how tired I am.

Positions - I usually lie on my stomach with one leg straight and one bent, or I'm curled up in a ball.
