Since I have tinitus its almost unbearable for me to get to sleep with silence alone, so I like to put on a video, audio or something to distract me.
I spend half of my time sleeping on the recliner in front of my computer. I somehow fall asleep much easier that way. Though generally speaking, I often find it hard to fall asleep quickly.
At the very least, I like it to be as dark as possible and also have a fan running since I hate complete silence.
I think keeping active during the day always make me sleep better at night. During the day, I go to work. I go to school with lots of homework and projects. I have a family to mind and keep happy. After all those, I still find the time to game.
As soon as I lie down in bed. I'm out cold.
I can sleep in any way, lights on or off, computer on, tv on, anything on. I don't sleep like that but when I DO fall asleep in these conditions is when I'm extremely tired. Otherwise my normal routine is tun the lights off, cover myself and sleep away....

Really dark, with a blanket, a bunch of pillows and normally the fan on (I know, it doesn't make sense). Position depends. Either on my stomach with my face on the pillow and my arms kinda hugging underneath and my legs sprawled, or on my side in a sort of fetal position. Usually the former.
Same here, although I'm now used to sleeping without a fan. Sometimes, dead silence can conduce to adequate rest for me. I pretty much have the same sleeping position as you, incidentally. :VReally dark, with a blanket, a bunch of pillows and normally the fan on (I know, it doesn't make sense). Position depends.
