Sit down, think slowly, and try to think back the last thing you remember.

I don't know what you are trying to forget, but the best way to forget something is time and having other stuff to remember. Usually it's not about forgetting something, but more how to deal with remembering it.

Don't think, "I need to forget this." Give yourself some time with it. Don't actively try to forget. Think about it for a while if you must, it'll diminish its 'upsetting power' later when it comes to your mind again.
Throw yourself into stuff that prevents you from being idle so you won't have much thought to spare for it.

The healthy brain doesn't work that way. You can't just erase things from your mind. You can accept that they are there and work to overcome them and better yourself. Sometimes it seems like things are better left forgotten but that is not the case. Make the best of every situation and experience because they are all chances to grow and become the best version of yourself.

Nope. Hypnosis is about the only thing I can think of. Tell you one thing though, a full size Muay Thai heavy bag is a extremely effective outlet for getting rid of negativity. The really fun part is that all those natrual happy brain chemicals come and play too :)
