How afraid are you of death?

I'd have to say I have my share of worries, but I don't particularly fear death.

I don't want to die, but I'm more than prepared to put myself in harms way for another person.

My fear isn't exactly death, but how I'll die.

I have a strange phobia of cancer, moreso than the average person. That just sounds like a horrible way to die, and even if you live, it still sounds terrifying.

I'm more scared of cancer than possibly any other disease or illness. Just the idea of it growing inside you...uck...

I wouldn't say I welcome death with open arms but I know that my time will come sooner or later (hopefully the latter) and there is really nothing I can do about it.  I just hope that when I DO go that it will be in my sleep next to the one I love.

If I got eaten by a bear or something, it would be awesome. But to die from a disease...I can't imagine a more horrible fate.

At my age I'm terrified of death. But I know once I get older I'll learn to accept it and the fear will go away.

However if I do die, I hope it's instant and that I don't have to suffer.

I realize that death will come, I only wish it hits me in my sleep.

It's the dying bit that has me terrified.

There are times when I fear it, but most of the time, I don't think about it.

When it happens, it happens.

It's not like I need to worry about the consequences afterward or anything.

I swear, if I know exactly when I'm going to die, I'm so racking up thousands of dollars of debt as a final FU to the credit card companies. 

Not at all, I'm stoked actually. Knowing that I eventually going to die takes all the pressure out of life and replaces it with anticipation.

Knowing that death is right around the corner actually motivates me to do well in life. I'm not scared of the unknown or worried about what happens after death, I'll worry about that when I die (if that's possible).

Life is too short to worry about what's GOING to happen, I focus on what IS happening instead and couldn't be happier.

Hell yes, and I think everyone who has they are not are either lying or haven't actually thought about it seriously, honestly I find it terrifying, it's beyond comprehension, life is all there is then, just nothing, you might as well have never existed.

Im not afraid of death, Ive accepted the fact that its going to happen no matter what, but hopefully it will not happen for a long time.

Death is the biggest rush there is,that's why they keep it for the last part!

That's what gets me when I think too much about it. I'm cool with the whole dying thing and leaving behind my corpse but I can't wrap my head around not existing. Maybe there is a plane of existance that we simply can't comprehend. Could be an afterlife, could be...something else.

Haha. Yeah, awesome way to die I suppose. :P

For me, it's kinda the same, I don't mind dying, it would be the pain or the build to death that would scare me. And by build up I mean (As you also said) a slow, invasive disease, like cancer, or AIDS, or Alzheimer's. I for one, cannot stand the thought of having Alzheimer's. It scares me loads... :(
