Failed as in getting an F in the class. I've had to retake some classes because I got D's on them when I needed a C to pass. But now in my managerial accounting class I got a 50% on the test so right now I have a 52% in the class and need a 70% C or higher to pass the class.

Yeap, in high school. But since the grading system in my school is averaging all the grades in 4 quarters, I managed to pass the subject :D

I got an F in my second of 6 terms of Algebra I in 9th grade; after that, I never made anything but As in high school math, or in any math until I got past differential equations in college, though.

I'm failing a class right now, but I plan to withdraw so it doesn't kill my GPA. Other than that, I've never failed a class.

Statistics and Finance in college. In both classes we only had three tests as the only grades all semester and I just froze up whenever we had a test.

I don't know if I should drop my managerial accounting class or not. I got good grades in the class it's just the test that killed my grade. Right now I understand what we are going over.

One of the three modules during precal last semester (I was enrolled in AP Cal in high school, go figure). I got lucky and was able to retake it during wintermester and have the grade entirely replaced.

Before that, in high school, I had failed half of my math course for turning work in too late, but it averaged out with the other half to give me a passing grade for the entire semester as a whole.

I don't get along very well with math.

Just once; high school geometry. I took the algebra route after that, where I got mostly A's and a couple of B's.

Failed two papers at uni, a microecomics paper and an accounting paper but that's about it. Got a D in both (D- being the lowest mark: 40 or less, D: 40-45, D+: 45-49)

I once had a professor who I overheard bragging to his colleagues about how many students he failed. I dropped his class before I ever became one of them. Imagine that type of logic in any other line of work; do salesmen brag about how many accounts they've lost? do doctors brag about how many patients they've killed?

Yeah I failed a whole bunch of classes back when I was in high school because I never went to class. But then I went to summer school and got A's in them all.

Most of my teachers do that, I once had a teacher that told us that no student passed his class.....EVER Turns out me and my friends were on the D and the exam grade was 50% we had like 65 with the first 50% so I had to pass that test and we studied from previous years exams from other groups who had to re-do the subject on summer. The thing is we did so many problems until I saw that some of them had been repeated from previous years and I discovered a pattern, the exam was made of 4 problems " the odd numbered ones were from the last two even years and the even numbered ones were from the last two odd years" So doing the math It was like this for the 2010 test. Problem 1: The number 1 of 2008 Problem 2: The number 2 of 2009 Problem 3: The number 3 of 2006 Problem 4: The number 4 of 2007 I think I got it right, The 5 of us got 100 on the final test so me and my small group of friends passed with B or around that Maybe the teacher is good at explaining but the laziness still gets him like it would do to any other guy

Nope. I think I'd have to intentionally TRY to fail, it's just not that hard in most classes to at least get a C.

I failed a few papers I had to do in college. But besides that, I have failed a course one time before. Professor was terrible at his teaching ability. He was around 83 years old and was going senile I believe. I learned after that semester he retired, but of course after the fact I failed his course.

I failed my driving test the first time I took it ... not the written part, I did fine on that. I failed the actual driving part, I started to turn the wrong way down a one-way street, (the guy giving me the test grabbed the steering wheel before I completed the turn).

I got a D in chemistry... because we had a snowday when the exam was scheduled.... and the teacher said we had to stay after school to take the exam.... But i didnt... because i never missed a day of school and i wasnt going to stay after because the teacher was incompetent. So i got a 0 on the exam, and a D in class.

I've only ever failed one subject, and that was Business Statistics at uni last year. It was a combination of me disliking mathematics and missing out on 5 weeks (of 13) because of illness. I ended up repeating it and getting a Credit.

You guys actually think C's are bad? I had a C in everything but English which was just enough to pass. Didn't do crap for high school, wasted my time learning barely anything. In the end people just fail for subjects they won't be using in the future and basically waste a year.

Failed many many classes in high school. Why? Because I was too smart. I know how arrogant that sounds but I'm not kidding. I was the kid who probably should of been in smaller more advanced classes instead of being in middle class public schools where the majority of students could be outsmarted by trained apes. I was the kid who aced every test (except any math or chem class) but failed every class because I never did the homework.

It's ironic that I didn't really get a lust for knowledge and understanding of things until my mid twenties. The vast majority of what I know is self taught, and I still hold to it that over the last 4 or 5 years I've learned far more than I ever did when I was in school.

I failed Spanish II because I didn't care about it and I ditched that class everyday
