i have been suspended for 1 day. i posted a topic in "off topic," but a mod closed it and told me to go to "system wars", so i posted it there in "systme wars" . then it was modded in system wars as "off topic" so basically my thread was relly didnt belong anywere lol

Yup. I got suspended for calling someone dumb in System Wars. he had it coming when he said Hitler and Einstein weren't even in the same time period. His name has Hawk something or other. Man those were fun times in System Wars.

I've been gotten a few one day suspensions. I've gotten two or three weeklong suspensions..those were killers.

@Hitomi: I find that GS mods will not mod people as long as they behave as politically correct as possible. They expect me to pretend like I give a rat's ass about someone's fanboyish opinion and to respect it. I think that a lot of the mods here lack any sort of personality. They spend so much time trying to give off the appearance that they are a role model for the community that they lose their own opinions in the process.

It's really funny how they lock so many threads in SW that have some logic to them, yet they are okay with someone post 5 threads on the front page at the same time bashing one console.

I've been suspended many times. It's hard to know sometimes what is appropriate or not. You have to make sure every post doesnt rely on previous posts for context.

Also, avoid saying anything negatives about christians and liberals, that will get you modded in a second.

As I said before, the mods here are so uptight about the rules that you have to spend so much time editing and fine tuning your post to make sure everybody is happy that you lose your message and thoughts in the process.

I was suspended once for "spoiling" Death Note's ending in a Death Note thread. Go figure.

I was also banned for mentioning something illegal that you can do on PC's. You can easily guess what it was, but GS is super anal when it comes to this. I had to go through customer service to prove how stupid the banning was.

You can be banned for something that you posted months ago.

Suspended 2-3 times. One of them was a 10 day suspension.

I believe that I've been suspended once or twice.

I have 6 moderation, and 1 suspention. I don't think that's too bad for someone who's been here for well over a year.

I think I got suspended once but by the time I noticed it was already over.

I wanted to be a mod a few months ago. But after giving it some thought and looking at how some of them work, I would never want to be one of them. I've never seen such uptight pricks in my life. From what I hear, GS used to be much more layed back a few years ago.

Being a mod would be so boring, seeing as half the fun of posting is either reading the crazy stuff people get up to when mods aren't around, or trying to be a bit of a trouble maker yourself. Note: I'm not talking about extremely disruptive posting or trolling, just those "Oh you" moments some users have, so I'm not condoning anarchy or rioting in the streets or anything lol.

As I said in one of my previous posts, I'm not going to pretend like I care or respect everybody's opinions on this site. Regardless of what you think or how much of an ass I'm going to sound like, I'm going to stick by my words.

There are a few I do like, such as Mailer and musicalmac (because he plays Diablo). For the most part, I don't really like the mods here. Some of them have very horrid interpretations of the ToS. The reason people on this site pretend to respect the other users is out of fear of certain mods who want to spread their own agenda rather than honestly desiring to hear what the other people have to say.

I find that they are really lopsided when it comes to locking topics and moderating users. I'll use the example I put a few posts back. Yesterday night, there were five threads by the same guy who was blatantly bashing the Wii without any substantial argument. None of those got locked. This morning, there was a guy who made a thread trying to figure out why console gamers were so against PC gamers and he was trying to find some common ground. That thread actually had some logic behind it unlike the usual SW drivel. Guess what happened? That topic gets locked. GG

I havnt read the ToS but you have to either have a massive mistake or want to get banned really.

Most of mods are fair and i even got an appology once even though i didnt think they needed to :P

Over 50 moderations, banned for.. a couple of months, suspended around 10 times. Yep.

Quick Edit: I've just realised I am level 39, I was level 44 a year ago or something I think, but I have lost a lot of points due to my sarcasm, some people just don't understand it.
