I'm trying to come up with a list of very good guitar players that are not bam! front page, super well-known from any genre. List any you can think of. I'll list a few:
Prince (the guy can wail, even though he is/was known as a pop artist. Listen to the song: Let's Go Crazy.) Greg Allman. One of my faves. Just Dl'ed Allman Brothers greatest hits on my Ipod. Victor Wooten. Another black guitarist that can wail. Others?
alexi laiho(probably not spelled right, damned finish names) from children of bodom. most ppl who listen to metal know him but outside that, his name recognition is really small.

Victor Wooten.. I love his bass playing! I thrashed several strings on my bass thanks to him. :)

Victor Wooten.. I love his bass playing! I thrashed several strings on my bass thanks to him. :) One of my favorite albums that he played on was Live Art, by Bela Fleck and the fLECTONES, though he has many solo albums. My favorite song is More Luv, though it is not by any means a super- popular BF song.

I've only heard some songs and seen videos on Youtube as of now. But I will try to find that album. :)
