So Varys has indeed followed Tyrion to Pentos. It's not a bad deviation from the books, Varys is a very interesting character that deserves more screen-time.
I think there were also some glimpses of Dorne and the events that will transpire there. And lots of Daenerys Targaryen. I'm glad Jorah Mormont is back.
They didn't show anything related to Bran though.
Bran is a boring turd. And his story arc doesn't make any sense. Fell from a window, became psychic and went to find Old Man Willow. Ok, sure.
My work is exceedingly good at aggressively targeting any media streams so I can't watch it currently on a nice screen, but I did watch it on my phone and it looked brilliant. April truly can't come soon enough.

I'm guessing you haven't read the books. They provide a better depth to his own story.
His fate is mostly shrouded in mystery as to why he is special and his story is short compared to others so I see why he's not the most popular. He's not playing any important role for the present of Westeros like everybody else but I suspect that will change in the future. In any way, he probably won't be showing up in this season as his arc is already ahead of everyone else.

Currently reading A Storm of Swords: Part 1...

It is if they're cutting Aegon and my man Jon Connington.

I don't think they will omit that part. Aegon being alive is a significant plot twist and he's probably meant to play a great part in the future.

Maybe that line of Varys' is there just to **** with us then. I don't think Victaeron has even been cast for this season so he's probably definitely cut.
At least we get a Sansa bathtub scene.
Looking good. But this season will be unbearable as a fan of both the books and show, because I know that other books fans - who can't view these as two separate things - will be losing their damn minds over the changes to come. And with the next book not coming out until next year, odds are this is going to deviate greatly in coming seasons.

I had forgotten about the Greyjoys. It's a shame cutting them out, I was looking forward to seeing Euron Crow's Eye on the show. Again, I think and hope that they'll show up later on.
Yeah I really like this dark haired Sansa and looking forward to more Littlefinger. That guy is cunning as hell.

Nooooooo!!!! I miss her red hair. :(
This season looks like it's going to be freaking sweet.

Bran isn't going to be a part of the next season. Heck this will be the second season without Rickon.

I keep thinking about all the deviations and wondering whether or not I should just complete the final two books.
I've made it this long without seeing it, must make it one more day so I can witness the trailer for the first time in the IMAX.
Have I mentioned that Emilia Clark is a terrible actress?
I think she has been pretty awesome personally.
I kept trying to ignore the changes even though they continually became bigger and more annoying... convincing myself that the show is a different thing, but last season it was just too much for me. And this trailer makes it even worse. What is Jaime even doing in Dorne? :/ And there's no sign of any Iron Islands stuff at all.

I didn't see anything of Jaime being in Dorne. As for the Iron Islands events I suppose they'll be showing up next season. I don't think they would deviate so much as to exclude them from the show. Hopefully...

He is there in the trailer, and I saw pictures from the set too. He's in Dorne for some reason..

I thought the same as well early on in the show. However as the show has progressed she has improved significantly. The first 2 seasons she was pretty cringe worthy but in season 4 she was actually fairly decent. I think it all comes down to finding the character she want to portray, and experience. Both of which I think she's finally started to realize.
Also, GoT in IMAX is fantastic. Everyone go see it before it's run ends.

I actually thought she was ok in the first season. It's when she became a ruler that the Shatner school of acting performances truly began.
Kit Harrington on the other hand got a little bit better as time went on.
