I'm from the US, but wondering if you guys like foreign movies ? I happen to enjoy foreign movies very much, but some are over 3 hours long, lol ..

Do you guys watch and enjoy foreign movies ?

Japaneses, Chinese, and Indian movies are some of my favorite. Spanish too a bit.

I have watched and enjoyed a few Korean horror films a lot. I Saw the Devil is one of my favorite movies. I find foreign horror movies in general to be utterly better than American ones, from what I've seen Martyrs and Inside are both extreme movies that don't come off as torture porn, even though several parts beg to differ.

I hate it when people don't watch a movie simply because of the subtitles. It's ridiculous.

Great movies can come from anywhere, it would be stupid of me to not watch something that sounds interesting just because I have to read subtitles

"But some are over 3 hours long" yeah, something only found in foreign movies...as JML mentioned, film isn't limited to specific countries, it is a global art form, some of the best films ever were made outside of the US.

"foreign movies" is a broad label but i have no problem with subtitles or accents if that's what you're getting at. i'm not a fan of dubs though.

I will have to add that one to my list ! " I saw the Devil " . I should have asked for some examples. I have seen some of the best movies also foreign, and i don't mind subtitles either.

@LexLas: It's basically a really gruesome and violent thriller/ part action movie with a few horror themes. Despite the fact that the plot can be repetitive (a good chunk of it follows a formula of a cop getting revenge on a killer by capturing and torturing him then letting him go) it's an extremely well executed movies that doesn't really feel sadistic despite the fact that it's extremely violent at times.

Definitely worth checking out if you love thrillers and serial killer movies.

Yes, I watch and enjoy foreign films. If it is good I'm watching it. It bothers me when I see people refusing to see something foreign because of subtitles.
