First Picture of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is out

so what do you guys think of the picture?

Yup. He looks just like bald Jesse Eisenberg alright.

I know of the term never judge a book by it's cover but he really doesn't look well as Lex.

I recall back everyone whinging about Heath Ledger, now he's Jesus apparently.

Sure, why not? It's hard to get the bald dude thing wrong. Too bad I won't be seeing this movie. I'm getting fucking sick of superhero movies.

I'll probably watch it but yea, totally sick of them now. Getting spun out into a universe as well.

@uninspiredcup: I'm not even going to watch it unless one of my friends demands it. It's too much. I can't do it anymore. I don't even care about the characters enough to justify seeing these movies. The only really great ones I'd say are Dark Knight and Captain America Winter Soldier. Dark Knight was out before this superhero thing really took off and the only reason I saw Winter soldier is because I needed something to take my mind off a breakup. Plus, people take this shit too seriously. Superman is about space Jesus punching bad guys and generally being invincible. That's pure shlock, but people swear by it.

Not as close as the Lex Luthor from Smallvill but I guess he's alright and Heath prove to be a good Joker from Dark Knight. Although back then, I remember reading that Denzel Washington was considering being Lex Luthor and if that happen, I be happy to hear that news.

That said, I'm still going to see Man of Steel 2 and Batman/Superman: Dawn of Justice since it's the first time that Batman and Superman come to the big screen.

I still think this casting was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy off... while all the other castings are spot on.

This Ledger comment has become such a cliche when it comes to discussing actors who people are unsure can pull of a villainous role. Doesn't (as per usual) apply here when comparing the body of work and overall critical perception of Eisenberg vs. Ledger - nor does it apply when considering the actual role, and what sort of performance it would require.

It's a ZACH SNYDER movie. It will be emotionless, soulless and flashy.

He looks like a drug addict.

Too lightweight of an actor.....shaving a head doesn't change that.

Didn't like those movies either to be honest. The Dark Knight i'v came to quite dislike. po-faced shite imo. Would rather watch Blade or Batman Returns.

He looks like a serial killer in that picture.

To be fair...if the casting is off then it's probably going to have more to do with his actual performance and less to do with how he looks when he's bald.

i would have thought that guy would be smarter than to get involved in the dc movies.

maybe dc could stop the train wreck if they concentrated on niche characters.

I think this is going to be a challenge for him. Unless he build lots of muscle recently. I pictured Lex Luther to be one bad ass dude. We shall see !
