If one of these two sites was forced to be sacrificed to the internet gods (deleted forever), which site would you rather see be saved?

I think life would be better for most people if Facebook was erased forever. So I'd rather keep GameSpot up and running.

I'd save gamespot, at least here most people won't tell what kind of underwear they are using, or the days, hours minutes and seconds they've spend with their hubbies, or honey bunnies!!

GameSpot is more ultimate. My friends and family would be forced to make accounts on here if they wish to keep in contact with me.

Gamespot. Facebook is mostly just my friends, and a lot of people I don't even like, posting statuses I don't care about. There's actual discussions to be had on Gamespot.

Gamespot, surprisingly. A lot of people I actually know piss me off to no end, so I'd rather lose contact with them in some form or other.

I don't use Facebook, so I could care less if it went away. However, if it came to a public opinion outside of OT which one to get rid of I'm pretty sure Gamespot would be the one that bites the dust. Simply because I doubt Gamespot is even close to 500 million users.

GS for sure, FB is boring as hell. I have no idea how people spend hours on that site... I mean WHAT is there to do!?!?

BTW it's kinda biased asking people on GS if they want GS or FB to be destroyed.

um.. definitely Facebook lol you can actually talk to your friends on there, especially since a lot of people don't even know what Gamespot is. plus Gamespot profiles really aren't anything too special. don't get me wrong, I love this site but I'd save Facebook. plus you can say whatever you want on Facebook without having to worry about someone smacking your hand for cursing, having someone yelling omg off topic! or no no no! this belongs in the sticky thread! :P oh and of course, if you wanna talk about video games then you just refer to them as their actual names and not a random animal name like a cow.

I don't know. I like each for whatever mood I'm in. Talking to my friends on Facebook is nice and dandy, but sometimes I prefer more of a veil of slight anonymity.

I really don't like how Facebook seems to be seeping into every corner of the internet... I mean every site nowadays /HAS/ to have some kind of Facebook app or a way of sharing something on Facebook.. Even Gamespot has succumbed to this.... So if you haven't figured it out, Facebook could go and I wouldn't miss it...

no offense.. but it's pretty sad to see how many people are choosing Gamespot. I mean the people that start drama or whatever and make stupid status's on Facebook can be annoying but that's why you delete them or just not talk to those kind of people in the first place :P I just find it sad how many people choose video games and avatars instead of people you actually know with actual pictures.

that's honestly not that bad considering I've had Gamespot account since I was like 14 and I'm now 20.. lol most of those posts were made when I was younger. but you said you were just kidding lol and I agree, I'd rather not ever choose between two sites I like.

I think it depends on your situation.. I regularly talk to my friends either in person or on the phone, so I don't use Facebook for that. The majority of status updates I read are either people from my hometown, complaining about how it sucks, or people that have moved away talking about how they're partying or whatever. So Facebook is totally useless for me. Thus, I prefer Gamespot. Since I can have actual discussion and have a laugh or two (looking at you Off Topic ;)). Other people use Facebook for practical purposes. Such as talking to friends, or setting up events, keeping up to date with family or what not. So their view is likely totally different.

I treat facebook as a public resume and always make sure I double check everything that I post and pictures tagged with me in it. It is a site that is very much connected to your life and the there is anonymity in it. I like gamespot for its anonymity and I also learn a lot from various random questions and threads that people on facebook would never bring up. I probably have to go with facebook, just so I can keep in contact with people I actually know in real life. Gamespot is a great site none of the less.

Considering I don't give a crap that somebody is blinking...blinking...blinking...well you get the idea. I don't even have a Facebook account, so I guess Gamespot by default.
