There's a disturbing lack of antoniobanderas.gif in the previous posts.
Let me fix it:
It's even better with sound.

With those extra chins hanging from his neck, he's on at least three of them.Steven Seagal is too good for the Expendables series. He's on a whole 'nother level.

Seagal is the real deal, dude. Not only is he a real life master martial artist, but he's also a real life street cop. And he works the dangerous streets to. His earlier films like Above The Law and Out For Justice are based on some of his real life exploits. The guy aint no touched up stage actor like Stallone or Ah-Nold. He's a real life badass and god bless him for sharing his adventures with us on the big screen.
And sure he's put on some weight as of late but he still aint somebody you want to f*ck with. He currently trains UFC fighters among other things. And he's an expert marksman (he's demonstrated the ability to shoot the heads off of matches).

The last one was awful.
He packs far too many characters into one movie. At least the first one had some character development among the main characters. The second one literally had nothing in terms of character development and just left you to assume based on character archtypes.
Wasn't Russell approached to be in the first one, but declined due a lack of interest in an ensemble film?KURT
RUSSELL
I don't really care about anyone else. Maybe Ford.

You're acting like they intended this to be a deep movie. The whole reason for this series is a throwback to 90's action flicks, which had little character development and was essentially just good vs bad.The last one was awful.

Agreed. The Expendables series is a love letter to the over the top action films and action stars of the 80's and 90's that are now all old. You come to the Expendables for self-aware humor, explosions, and iconic action stars, nothing more, nothing less.
