For those Trekies, I hope this is excellent news! Even though I'm not a huge Star Trek fan compared to my Uncle, I know I'm excited to check out this version by JJ Abrams. Have a good time reading it!

Pretty much any early review of this film will be done by fans who got to see a very early screening. So, I'd take this particular one with a grain of salt.

This. Also, he sounds like a pretty big fan, so it probably isn't the most objective review. But who knows, maybe it will be great.

That review actually made me care less about the movie then I have previously. Seriously, I should be extremely excited for a new Star Trek flick...but I'm just not.

Actually, if he were a big fan, he'd most likely be more critical.

"The new Star Trek movie is amazing- easily the best Trek movie since The Wrath of Khan, and a veritable feast of sight and sound: A captivating adventure that grabs you from the first and doesn't let go." How many cliches can you cram into one sentence?

True, we do typically take it apart and generally make mountains out of molehills. Nemesis, that was a field day.

I don't understand how so many people can be so pessimistic about this movie. I look at IMDB nowdays and every movie on that site rarely gets over a 7.0. I just think people's expectations for movies now days are way to high.

Instead of walking into the theatre thinking its going to be horrible and pointing out every single thing wrong with it people should look towards what was good in the movie and go home and give it a good honest review and well yeah the guys review wasn't proffesional he clearly enjoyed the movie.

Ah Nemesis.. exception for some good action parts, quite disappointing. I'd really love something similar to First Contact. Fantastic film I thought.

i'm a huge trekkie and i'm not sold on this movie. I don't have my hopes up as it doesn't look like a star trek movie but i'll go see it anyway to give it a chance, even though J.J. Abrahms isn't a very good director, as he started off well with both Alias and Lost but then let them die horrible deaths.
