Being a man I understand the need for good underwear that provides support and freedom. However, it seems most underwear for women amounts to nothing more than a shoe lace. So is underwear purely an aesthetic thing for women or does it provide some useful purpose I am unaware of? Edit: I mean panties and thongs not bras.

Yes, women underwear have plenty of designs and each design has an especific "advantage", some are more comfortable than others, some eliminate panty lines, some avoid people to see the silhoutte of your underwear when you wear a dress, etc...

It works equally well in real life too actually.
the difference is that its easier to tell lies on the interwebz because people cant look at your face when you put something...in real life people dont say a lot of untrue things because they know that they will have a goofy reaction after saying it.

Personally, I feel AMAZING when I wear a sexy thong and matching bra. I bet other girls can tell I'm wearing something saucy, because I'm practically beaming, because I feel so good about myself. Also, a good bra is what any girl needs, no matter the size of your chest. A good bra is a girl's best friend. I'm willing to buy expensive bra's, because my girls aren't going to be strangled, but they need to be tugged in nicely and the bra gives support.

Uuuhh.. Most clothing materials are not meant to be worn directly against the skin down there, the skin being sensitive and whatnot. Wear tight fitting jeans, and dont wear underwear for a day while active and see how that feels. Probably lots of chafing I imagine until you do it enough that you get used to it, which some people do. Also, not all women wear thongs or g-strings.

I guess how I could see if you were wearing abrasive denim jeans you might want something soft for comfort but other than that I don't know.

They get periods and we don't want the breast sagging pre-maturely so bra's and thongs are a must... they also look great wearing them. I'm a guy and I go commando almost all the time.
Okay. So... you do realize women have menstrual cycles, right? Some women wear pads so.... If that's not a good reason to wear panties then I don't know what is.

Not to brag, but I have raided my fair share of panties in my time. Your mom's top drawer doesn't count. Damn, I used to brag all the time about all the panties I've sniffed, now I can't brag no more.
Well underwear, just probably another layer just like mens. And as for bras, god, I would wear a bra if I were a girl. I would hate having those things to deal with all day long.
