Any rational person would find out what something does, then do it. Not the other way around.

A rational person wouldn't even eat raw eggs...
I eat raw eggs after doing about 100 pushups(with a little difficulty), does it help?ZeroHookwell you certainly are on the right track. However, it's important to note that genetics play a crucial role in determining how much bulk you can achieve.

lol i tried it once, a friend told me it really heals your aching muscles after a workout, so i thought why not? i just cracked it into a cup and just gulped it down, it was cold and it waqs disgusting. I rather take some protien powder
pushups works the triceps and pectorial muscles, resistence workouts and excerises are better when you aren't jsut focusing on one excerise. you can easily look for upper body resistence excerises in google which will help get a more well rounded upper body and focus on more muscle groups than jsut one excerise can do, proper form is the key.
Now onto the raw eggs, there is a chance of getting salminalla from eating raw food that needs to be cooked. technically it will help because it has a high amount of protein thats why poeple have raw eggs. if u want you could get protein powder but this would reqiure a much more heavy workout to actually use the protein otherwise it jsut turns to fat.
my advice eat other foods high in protein with a well balenced diet. continue doing pushups regularly (add in other bodyweight excerises if you want) and go from there.
also many workout websites will help on these issues if you search forums so i dont know why your asking on gamespot.

Alright, an easy guess is that you're looking for a protein intake from the raw eggs after a workout. The raw eggs method is really outdated, considering the advancements that we have these days with supplements.
After a workout you could eat something along the lines of chicken breast or take whey protein isolate. Just hop on over to a GNC or Vitamin Shoppe and pick up some, but pay attention to the "isolate" part, as the protein amount is real potent compared to others on the shelves. If you're looking for something just as immediate, a carton of Muscle Milk would do you just as good, or one of those Naked smoothies that contains spirulina or their own protein shakes.
I do the same after my workouts, or at least go for SOME type of protein intake if I'm out of supplements.
But um, yeah, the raw eggs thing…the Rocky era has passed, mah' dude.
any form of protein will help, so no point suffering through raw eggs especially if you are only doing pushups.
Pushups won't build you mass, and you're only working one set of muscles. xXBuffJeffXxYou are actually using a good portion of your upper body, the Triceps, Anterior and Posterior Deltoids as well as the Pectoral muscles are all involved, sure its not going to get you massive, but it develops lean muscle mass.
Help what, get you salmonella sure. Help with building muscle, there are better ways of doing it. You dont have to eat raw eggs, firstly because that is just disgusting and secondly its not benefiting your muscles. You need roughly your body weight in grams of protein a day along with a well balanced diet to build muscle.UrbanSpartan125Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't your body weight in lbs/10, and that's the number of grams of protein you need?

Yeah, I mean, it'll help with muscle endurance but if he's talking about building mass it's not a particularly effective way of doing it. Don't they only really work Triceps if you're doing close-hand or diamond pushups, though? I'm all about pushups and other body-weight exercises because I'm not looking to build mass.
And yes it is hard to drink the stuff without choking.ZeroHook
Why not just get protein drinks or something? You get gag reflexes for a reason; your body is trying to tell you that it doesn't think it's a good idea to ingest whatever it is you're trying to swallow.
If 100 pushups is all you're doing, then you're gonna more than just raw eggs to help you get those biceps. kingdre
push ups build chest muscles

Only 100 pushups? Whats the point?
And if your eating raw eggs without knowing why, you fit the description for "mentally retarded"

Except for when they die
Raw eggs is worse then cooking them. Since it's liquid, it's going to get digested way too quick for you to get the full benefit of the eggs. Instead, boil them.rimnet00
That aint true.....
To TC:
The proteine powders and other stuff that the guys are reccomending might be too expensive for u....
Meat has a lot of proteine also...
Well eggs are fast and relatively easy to obtain where i come from (Its not like i live on some kind of chicken farm and barely have internet access or something)ZeroHook
Well I'm just sayin, prot. powder costs around 40 euro where i come from....u do the math
That is like $160 here. I wonder where can i find powdered eggs...ZeroHook
lol... He means Whey Protein which comes in big tubs. You can buy them online for like $45 for a tub. It's very cheap considering how much food it replaces, and how benefitial it is for you.
Note, that eggs are still VERY good. In fact, most of your protein intake should be from real food and not supplements (whey protein is a supplement). The main reason for this is, whey protein still goes through your body very fast, and is mostly benefitial for pre and post workout. For any other meal, eat solid / real food.
With the eggs... boil them, or "fry" them using 0-cal/carb cooking spray. Use like 3 egg whites per 1 whole egg. I use those egg beaters that come in a carton for the whites, and a real egg (w/ boosted omega3) for the whole.
