Poll Do you watch or use Netflix? and/or any other streaming service for that matter. (24 votes)

Yes. I have an a paid membership and I use it regularly. 71%
I have a paid membership but I use it rarely. 8%
I don't have a paid membership but wish I did. 4%
I don't have a paid membership and have no intentions of every having one. 17%

I just saw a news article from yesterday saying that Netflix has raised in profit and that now it get $53m or £32m profit, and has global membership of 48 million.

I honestly figured it would be more popular than that despite some people not having convenient access to a computer and/or smart TV or box. Or the internet to access it.

Yeah, I stream things sometimes. You can steam things in low quality for free - and I'm pretty sure it's legal. But I might subscribe to something like Netflix one day.

Yes, Netflix. But only if I can get working DNS codes.

As soon as the company blocks access from outside the US (either by not offering the unrestricted DNS servers, or blocking access somehow) I'll stop paying for and using the service. The Canadian variety is garbage compared to the American.

I use plex in combination with my chromecast to stream files from my hard drive, but I don't actively pay for service at the moment.

I used Netflix for quite awhile, but I wanted it for TV, and I thought Hulu had a better selection of TV show. I switched and I'm quite happy with Hulu Plus.

I use Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video. I kind of like Amazon better. Both seem to have similar movies/shows anyway, but as a prime member you get the benefits of free 2-day shipping and kindle books, etc. So, Amazon wins my vote.

What I dislike most about Netflix is the quality of movies they have. I've scrolled through hundreds of garbage flicks but very little good movies worth watching. I just don't get why they would crowd up their servers with such trash films.

Yeah, it's a great alternative to cable TV. All the cable and satellite TV packages will just have me paying a lot for a bunch of channels I don't watch.

Lately, I've watched The Clone Wars, Dexter, and Orange is the New Black.

I use Netflix, but their inventory kind of sucks. About 75% of the time when I look for a movie, I see that it's only available on DVD for an extra $8 a month. That does me no good. By the time I wait for them to ship me the disc, I'll have already lost interest in watching the movie.

I use Netflix. I am watching Star Wars Clone Wars currently. Season 6 is a Netflix exclusive. There are also times when there is a good movie to watch that I missed at the theater.

No I would never pay for a streaming service like that, I used to watch TVNZ On Demand which is free but it recently shut down until next year. I often watch movies, docos and series on Youtube anyway.

Yeah I have Netflix, however My Girlfriend, My Mum & Dad use it far more than me, most the time I'm gaming, web browsing or watching you tube shows.

Yeah, but I also have DISH and love it. I'm not a cable cutter, I couldn't go without being able to flip to whatever channel and just watch random crap when I'm doing other stuff. Also love having a ton of DVR content for a rainy day, and the DISH Anywhere capability with Sling is nice.

As for other streaming services, last year I used the heck out of NFL Sunday Ticket's online streaming that came with Madden Anniversary edition (I really hope they roll out a separate Sunday Ticket subscription next year since I have DISH and can't get it...).

I also use MLB.TV (wish all sports sold a la carte subscriptions), and WWE Network.

Between Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, and the WWE Network I had no reason not to cut the cord. All four of them together are less than basic cable where I live. Netflix is an awesome deal if you are able to use it. Even outside the US i could use it, I could use it in Afghanistan and Germany with a VPN.
