If we are just hanging out platonically I'd prefer a smart woman. However, I am partial to a really hot smart women, those are the best. If I am dating one, she must be both.
Depends, the real question is "is she obnoxious?" Because she can be obnoxious either way, and if she is, I would take hot. At least she's eye candy....

What if the smart girl was obnoxious? Seriously, people put intelligence too much on a pedestal, as they do looks. I would rather be with a nice stupid girl, than an obnoxious smart girl, and trust me, there are many of those. I love 'em sassy...if they aren't, I walk all over them...and that is no fun The things I can't stand are being stuck up and being rude to regular people (like being rude to employees)...they can be rude to me though
Just to hang out? Well seeing as that would mean simply a friendship then I'd go with the girl who has the brain. Of course you are giving us a situation of total opposites.

considering how "intellectual" (heavy emphasis on the quotation marks)I get when I drink, and how I love having civilized debates and being a jackass, it is far easier to drink til theyre hot. Plus personality goes a long way for me so I'd find them semi-attractive from the get go
I would have to pass out for them to sound smart, simply because them shutting up would be the smartest thing they could do (if they were hot and stupid)
I would go with the hot girl if there is a chance of something happening. I am young and don't want a relationship just yet so the hot girl would be fun.
To talk to? Smart, undoubtedly. To date? Smart and cute I guess. I'm not really too picky and I think a lot of "meh" girls can be a lot hotter if they're smart, but I don't want to date a total bimbo. I absolutely hate loud and obnoxious or snobbish girls though.
ultimately intelligence counts for a lot more than hotness, but does she really have to be straight up ugly? With a little elbow grease I'm sure she could pull cuteness off even if she can't pull off being hot.
