Nope, but the world ends for all of us eventually and all this doomsday hysteria is another example of people projecting their fears of inevitable death into the world. People aren't afraid of the world's doomsday, they are afraid of their own doomsday, which each of us has and none of us knows when to expect.
If the Mayan's were so smart and could predict the future why arn't they around now ??Caesar-124
Because they predicted what was going to happen to them and they all died of heart attacks.
the london olympics is a certainty, there's one for you.I dont believe it but i'm curious about what will happen in 2012

Umm....no.
That Mayan thing, I remember reading somewhere that even though the long count calendar ends on that date, an even longer cycle begins after that. I'm not sure where I read it, I'd link you if I recalled where I saw it.
All those documentaries made about apocalypses and the like is just a bunch of pseudoscience, interesting as they may be.
the world ended years ago, now we are in hell, and that is how i know atheists are wrong.surrealnumber5if you think we are in hell you need to go outside and look at some wildlife or trees or something, no way is it hell.
Didn't you get the memo? They got the Mayan Calendar calculations wrong... the end of the world already took place 2 years ago.
if you think we are in hell you need to go outside and look at some wildlife or trees or something, no way is it hell. go live with the wild life and when a bear is eating you alive call me up and tell me its not hell[QUOTE="surrealnumber5"]the world ended years ago, now we are in hell, and that is how i know atheists are wrong.PcGamingRig
I disagree. I think the world will end slowly and people will be able to see it far in advance. No I don't think it will end. I think the world will end sometime that people can't predict.

No. Modern historians have proven our current calendar is behind by at least 4 years, so it's at least 2014 right now.:P

It's amazing that 2012 still get so much traction, when it's been proven wrong so many times. Internet conspiracy fetishists will just make a new one when this one fails to materialize.SteveTabernacle
No, what will happen is somebody else will make the next 2012 thread.*sigh*
And there will be one on Page #1 of OT for the whole year of 2012, unfortunately.
Why fad threads keep going escapes me.:P
