I'd say it's based on surveys, both publics and from clinics. I know for a fact that the average penis size thing is mostly conducted by condom companies.

Yup, 12-15 cm is the average size. Below 12 is considered small and above 15 it's considered large. And less than 7cm is considered a micropenis which is something that needs to be surgically corrected because it's literally impossible to please a woman with it, but anything above 7cm CAN arouse a woman enough for her to get an orgasm. Seriously? That's really baffling to me...how do you guys manage to get there in 3 minutes? I can't even do that if I'm alone, let alone with a girl. And even if you feel you're almost there, just pull out and do something else...there's manual, oral, toys...I think you need to be really selfish (or really inexperienced) if you're at 3 minutes and you don't stop before you're done (unless she's done too...depending on how much time you put into foreplay, it is possible, but not that common, I think).
