I don't mean fat, unhealthy, face injury wrecked, self-destroying yourself, etc. I mean that puberty stage where things all start to change, ya know? Hairy, acne, awkward shapes, out of proportion, smelly, oily, hair thickening or thinning, hair color change, becoming too tall or not growing at all, etc?

I went through that for a long time and slowly starting to get out soon. I won't brag how I look now but I'll say the things I've gone through and what has changed. It all happened when I went onto High School. My hair had become a lot thicker and coarse-like texture, got some bad acne at first, out of proportion body, my nose looked huge on my face, my face looked narrow, my arms were really long, face became a lot oilier, my eyes looked like they had stretched out, had some bad looking teeth.

I went from cute to looking like a monster. I had to go through this for a very long time since I went through puberty very slowly and still going through it(never did get facial hair as much).

Now most of that have changed. My face is a lot different now, more proportion. My hair has become more relaxed now but gets messy easily since it's thick(I have to get it thinned out often but not too much since I like a lil thickness). My teeth are straight again thanks to my parents support and braces. My arms are still a lil long for my body but not as bad as before, my body is more proportion now. My eyes look bold and stand out more again instead of looking funky for some reason. I still have acne problems but it's a lot better now and less noticeable.

So how about you guys? Puberty can be a **** sometimes to some people.

No, because of compliments from women throughout my life, I've never really felt self conscious. I was a little chubby in middle school which prevented me from getting any girls, but then again I aimed pretty damn high and I never tried any girls who were less than popular so... Not getting a girlfriend in middle is the only time I felt "ugly" I guess. That changed when I lost weight and entered high school.

No, but I kind of wish I had. A lot of times ugly ducklings grow up to be super HOT!

I want to go through a super HOT stage.

Hairy

acne

oily hair

not growing at all

Gaming-Planet

These things reminded me of myself.

Anyway I wouldn't consider myself ugly just because these things occurred to me. In my honest opinion I think I look good. My looks are messed up though if I'm stressed or pissed off.

But acne and not growing at all is the "a bit sad" part :(

Instantly clicks the sexy option.

Reads topic where the opening line says stuff about going through puberty.

Realises my poll choice pretty much states that I am pre-pubescent.

Yes. I'm glad, ugly duckling syndrome forced me to develop an actual personality. Now I can hold a conversation and look pretty doing it.

I never really got acne. I also always keep my hair really short so oily hair is never a problem for me. I do have facial hair though, but I don't mind it (but I don't have like a full out beard or anything)

Through the stage? I'm stuck in the curtains

But eh. I don't think. In my opinion my hair was pretty bad in early junior high and I've felt insecure about it until about now, and I'm not convinced that I'm overly attractive.

Not really. Aside from having longer hair, I've actually changed very little from my Junior High school ID until now. I'm 23. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :P

Before sophomore year I was over weight, had glasses, and had really bad ache. That summer I got contacts, lost a lot of weight, and got rid of almost all my acene. Changed my life.

I was just generally ugly for most of my life. Weird thing is I have looked the exact same for years, and people have just recently started to tell me I am attractive.

My 'ugly ducking' phase when I was in 4th-7th grade. My hair was a bit frizzy, I was chubbier, my eyes brows were horrible, glasses didn't seem to do my looks any justice at all, and the list goes on. I changed a lot when I started 8th grade, I finally learned how to manage my hair, I fixed my eyes brows, got in shape (though I do have some 'curves' according to my friends) overall, I made a pretty big change considering a few people have told me I should do modeling. If they saw how I used to look..they would be surprised.

Yeh from 14-16 I had a crappy haircut, I wore scruffy clothes and hardly ever put on any make-up. I had braces though I've never suffered from acne. I started buying nicer clothes from 17 onwards and wore eyeliner and shadow on a daily basis. I think I've still got a lot further to go; I only started wearing tinted moisturiser on a daily basis last week and I'm growing my fringe out and getting blonde highlights put in sometime soon. Even though I like wearing skinny jeans and t-shirts I'd like to splurge more at places like Topshop.

Yeah. Age 12, I was fat and covered in pimples. Skip to age 14 and I was skinny muscular and pretty good looking. :P I don't know how good I am now, but I'm engaged to a hot babe so that's a good sign. :D

People recgonzied me. If you mean girls started noticing me then yes. Before that sophomore year, I don't think a girl has ever been intrested in me. But after Freshman year, I couldn't believe some of the attention I was getting from some girls. I had no idea you could eye flirt before that time. I still blew it with the girl I was really intrested in, but that's because I was acting like douche.

It also changed my personality too.

I'm finally starting to exit my "ugly duckling" stage. My face has cleared up a lot and I'm able to grow a pretty decent amount of facial hair, which helps to hide blemishes. Unfortunately, my skin's still greasy, but I do have a nice, muscular, lean body. My girlfriend certainly likes it. =)

No, not really. I've never been very ugly or very pretty. Most of my life I've just been quite average. I've grown up and improved my look along with changes here and there, yes, but nothing major like you're talking about, or all at once.

Probably a little style could do some boost but it's not necessary.

I actually get complimented on my style as it is. If I have the time to get nice and ready I will, otherwise it's a hoodie, some jeans and sneakers (which happens much more often since starting college). it's just too bad I can't go and alter some of my genetic traits :P

I grew very large and had pretty bad acne. It's all gone though. I also used to have a round face and smooth curves but now I have a cut jaw line and well defined features.

I was a fat unattractive little guy, but I'd say I'm out of the ugly duckling stage. It was actually a smooth transition. Nothing was too under or over proportionate... Not to sound narcissistic, but I'd say that I certainly don't look ugly.
