Good thing he's off the street

The Baltimore police lieutenant charged with the manslaughter of Freddie Gray allegedly threatened to kill himself and the husband of his ex-girlfriend, during incidents that led to him being disciplined and twice having his guns confiscated. Brian Rice, who pursued and arrested Gray after the 25-year-old “caught his eye” on 12 April, was reportedly given an administrative suspension after being hospitalised for a mental health evaluation when he warned he was preparing to shoot himself in April 2012.

Don't know how a person like that could remain on a police force let alone be returned to active duty.

There are probably a bunch of reasons, it's just likely they're not good reasons. Being unable to imagine something doesn't preclude it.

The world is a crazy place.

In conclusion: All cops are bad, racist people that justify us to loot and burn things!

You would be surprised how well true psychopaths can manipulate people and systems. That is one of their major traits.

So it has nothing to do with police, it's just the mental health system not doing it's job.

Are you saying that every police officer is a psychopath?

@Jaysonguy: sure it does it shows a incredibly corrupt and or incompetent bureaucracy that can't police it self, that holds more loyalty to themselves than the public they are sworn to protect.. This really illustrates that police departments need far greater oversight by state and federal govnerment agencies..

Maybe we need more police police...to police the police. Or failing that even, police police to police the police police.
