Largest nuclear device ever detonated (50 megatons, originally designed to yeld 100 megatons, but they decided that was a bit much). Detonated in a test by the Soviet Union in October 1961. Fortunately the one they blew up was the only one of that size they ever actually built.

We already spend twice as much on our military as the rest of the world combined. We already have the largest, and by far the most advanced, military the world has ever seen. How much is really necessary to defend ourselves? Shall we keep spending ourselves into oblivion so that the military can have nice new missle c*cks to shove up the world's ass?
