Braces anyone?

Have any of you guys had braces before? I'm 17 and I am in desperate need of some...

If you have any before/after pictures that'd be sweet. I'd show you my teeth..but uh...It's quite embarrassing. Let's just say they're ******* ugly as ****.

I wore braces for most of middle school. They're straighter than most other's teeth, but they're not perfect as I don't wear my retainer anymore. I feel odd posting a picture of just my teeth, so I'm not going to :P

Honestly, my smile is something I take pride in though and really do like about myself. My teeth are white enough to glow brightly beneath a black light.......:)

Your teeth are probably not as bad as you think, but if you feel they could look better then you should just go ahead and get the braces on and over with. It's not something you'll regret.

They are quite expensive, and I'm not too sure if insurance takes care of that :?

I was extremely self-conscious when I had my braces. I would never smile in pictures with my teeth, and would cover my mouth if I laughed and you happened to see my teeth. You shouldn't let that get to you though. I remember not wearing my glasses when I had my braces for fear that I'd look too geeky, only now do I realize how silly that was.

I quit sucking my thumb when I was like 2-3, my teeth are as strait as naturally strait gets.

nope because i was scared of what people at school would say, but i'm wishing i had them now though, but i'm 21 so i'd have to pay like £2500 :|

i had them for a few years, my teeth are pretty straight now. i do not want to upload just my teeth onto here though, sorry :(

No, I've never had them. My teeth aren't the greatest, but they aren't horrible.

I had braces from 12-14. Before then they put a bridge across the top of my mouth to widen it.Travo_basic

i had braces for a few years but i got them off when i was 16 or 17 i think. don't really remember. my teeth were pretty messed up before, they're pretty straight now. i didn't wear my retainer when i got my braces off, though, so they have shifted a bit.

19 going on 20 and never had them. My sister on the other hand, sheesh.

I had braces for two years in high school. I don't really have any adequate before pictures, but they were a bit messed up, especially the bottom row. I'm glad I had braces because now I'm quite happy with my teeth. In fact, my teeth are the only feature I like about myself physically.
