can't believe liberals treat him like he's some sort of God.....
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I mean, let's face it: if you take the bible literally, you're delusional. If you're delusional, you shouldn't hold a spot in office, should you?
You mean like he does every time he's on tv? I think you have a twisted idea of how people view Bill Maher.
No, most people who are not conservative understand he is a comedian. Who attacks everyone.
I think the problem is rightwingers cannot understand humor and give maher more gravity in political think than he or any entertainer deserve.
Of course these same right wingers let entertainers and radio hosts like limbaugh and beck shape their political thought and party lines so one should not be suprised they do not understand things like maher and john stewart are for entertainment purpouses only.
how's he an idiot for this, he just pointed out some major flaws of two religious nutjobs in government
I'm not a huge fan of Maher, I think he is kind of a prick. But he is dead on here, anyone who makes a political decision with religious ideals backing them should be removed from office.
What liberals treat him like a god? He's pretty much disliked to everyone, don't even think he's a good comedian. That's like saying, 'Why does every conservative treat Pat Robertson like a god?' This topic sucks and so do you.
In all honesty though, Michelle Bachmann is the epitome of the ignorance of the religious right, there's really no defending her bullshit. Scalia isn't on the same level, although I'd say he's easily the most bigoted and ignorant justice on the SC.

You do realise how ironic that statement is, given the context?
I can't believe anyone links to Fox Nation as supportive of one's argument... hardly a reputable source of unbiased reportage.

I certainly have limited respect for [so-called] adults that still believe in imaginary friends (or demons).
To categorise Maher and Stewart as merely 'entertainers' is more damning than labelling them as antagonistic, agenda-driven liberals.
They are social commentators, and that commentary happens to be delivered via comedic avenues - think George Carlin, with less cussing.
Frankly, a great deal of their subject material (and those propounding it) is so laughably incredible, that if they did not make light of it, it might well drive one to tears. :|
@s_h_a_d_o: Im not dismissing them and I agree. Does not change the fact they are entertainers and making commentary, not actually influencing decisions of politicans.
Truthfully I thought that rant was pretty funny, and think he's generally a brutally honesty funny guy. However he lost all real of his credibility to me when he gave credence to the vaccines-autism link and when he clearly misunderstood SOPA and internet regulation in genera.
Bill Maher is a very smart guy.
Those who call him a moron or stupid are generally the clueless ones.
Oh, no, he's quite stupid; no smart person would give credence to vaccination conspiracies. Still, he's leagues smarter than dumbasses like Bachmann, Scalia, and other Teahadist heroes.

The aim of any social commentary is to illuminate and educate those that elect the politicians.
I guess I'm an idiot too then, because I'm uncomfortable with the idea of people who believe in fairy tales running the country. Unlike most, I don't differentiate between one far-fetched, unfounded story and another. Believing in Satan and virgin births makes you no less delusional than the guy locked up in some mental asylum who believes he can see into the future.

Yeah sorry, but I agree with what he says.. This isn't anti-Christian.. This is anti-idiocy.. If you seriously think that the end times is coming and we should act accordingly as a leader of a country, then you should not be leading.. Because you clearly are not leading with the best interest of the country in mind.. Scalia is even worse.. How can any one fvcking defend this? Right, left? This shouldn't be a matter where you stand politically.. These people are as bad as the conspiracy theory people..
