Interesting so many people including me now have said The shining. Stephen King has stated that he does not like the movie or was it that it didn't repesent the book correctly well its one or the other or both.

The book is very diffrent to the film while the film had a really cool ending the book was very diffrent and the ending was awful happy go luck generic ending.

My favouite king book is the The stand but the film was god awful.bentleg

He released his own version of The Shining. I myself thought it was better than Kubrick's version because so many things were actually explained... but you really cannot beat "Here's Johnny!"

Eli Roth is making an adaptation of Cell, so that should be sick. BrokenDreams13

That book could be messed up so much. I hope it doesn't get toned down.

stanley kubrick's the shining, Stephen King wasn't happy with it. He said it threw out some of the biggest themes and what not.

Seriously. **** clowns.Roland1987

Have you (and all the others who said IT) read the novel? The novel is amazing...the movie doesn't even pass a decent flick, it really has few redeeming qualities...

I read it first, which is the worst thing you could do, before watching the movie.

I forgot The Shawshank Redemption is an adaptation of one of his stories. That would definitely be his best.
