Revenge is a common theme in films, but these films do it best to me.

1. Get Carter- Michael Caine is brilliant in this classic film.

2. Dead Man's Shoes

6. Once Upon a time in the west

10. The Virgin Spring

And though it isnt just about revenge it sure has alot of that in it, also I just love to bring this film up:D

Some consider Get Carter to be the British equivilent of Dirty Harry but personally I think Get Carter is a better film. The Stallone remake sucked though.

Ransom - is the most over the top revenge film I can think of off the top of my head..

I saw Once Upon a Time In the West was on your list. It must be good, but I was wondering how good? Thats the movie with Bronson and Fonda, right?

I recently looked up The Arcade Fire on youtube and they had a song with a video of that movie cut to it and it simply looked like a great movie.

I would add as honorable mentions since they're more horror thorugh and through, but also revenge films to a degree: Black Christmas, Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
