but I recall that the EVAs were either constantly getting disconnected from their power cables and having to make some critical shot with only 10 seconds of reserve power left.

I've seen all the series, and my favorite mecha is hands down Eva 01. The entire idea behind their design I thought was so well done with the story. But I have to admit, Wing Gundam Zero is a complete BAMF.

The Gundams would win. Unless it's that terrible one with the little gundams >_>

Gundam because some of the series actually made using giant robots in wars realistic and possible

I would vote AC's or Gundam. Have you guys played Armored Core? Those things kick so much ass, and they would put up a great fight against any mech.

Out of those choices it's obvious Gurren Lagann would crush the others. I dig EVA, but in the long run (or even short) TTGL would seriously crush any of those. Very easily. It's the size of the Galaxy. It could sneeze close to an EVA and make it dissapear. Gundam aren't even in this league. Only Gunbuster could hold it against TTGL.

OR, you could have put GaoGaiGar in here too. Genesic GaoGaiGar if you prefer. That does damage.

So the ultimate trifecta of Mecha deathmatch should be Gunbuster, TTGL and GaoGaiGar. Out of those, again, i easily vote for TTGL. Gundams and EVA's would not want to bematched with these 3 for the sake of their own survival...;)

Eva's are cool, but I still like Zoids more since they're animal-like. :D

Evangelion and certain Universal Century Gundam are my absolute favorite anime series. However the stuff that always has a place in my heart are some of the mobile suits that are not Gundams in Univeral Century Gundam. GM Sniper Custom II, Kampfer, Sazabi, Jegan

Berserk mode Eva >>>>> All. Besides, its 5 minutes they got if the umbilical cable is severed, and they always seem to get it done. Asuka got, what, 7 or 8 of them in 3 minutes? Sure, it didn't work out so well in the end, but she got it done, so put a decent pilot with a strong mind in and you're golden.
