[QUOTE="snugglebear"][QUOTE="Neon-Tiger"]Glad to see some David Lynch love. Many folks don't like his work.super_mario_128
Lynch is an awesome director, but some of his stuff is hit or miss with me. Like Dune. I know, being a geek, I'm supposed to love it.

I think Lynch had minimal creative control over Dune, so I'd overlook that when reviewing his oeuvre. >_> Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is the only one of his films I've found to be sub-par, though I still have many to see yet.

Most people rave about Mulholland Drive, but to me his best films are The Straight story, The Elephant Man, and Wild at heart. Mulholland drive was very good though. I can't get into his really weird films like Lost Highway, and Inland Empire. They are too arty and weird for the sake of it. I really disliked Inland Empire.

I've enjoyed all of the movies Christopher Nolan has directed, so I'm going to have to say he's my #1 favorite film director, with Peter Jackson and David Fincher being runners-up.
