Batman Begins disregarded, why?

To me this one seems like a proper Batman movie. Story-wise, visuals, characters e.t.c...

The Dark Knight sort of takes elements from Batman, but doesn't really feel like Batman.

The Dark Knight Rises, starts off really great, but then the ending just becomes a big cluster **** mess.

Why Batman Begins nobody give a shit about when it closest to being a proper Batman movie? Very odd.

I see people ranking it above Rises. So..

Batman Begins was awesome, and I don't see people dismissing it.

Batman Begins is the only one out of the trilogy I watched completely. I liked it more than the dark night rises which i only saw the 2nd half. I never even seen a glimpse of the dark night, that movie a mystery to me.

Batman Begins is an excellent film. It does have a glaring problem plot wise (regarding Batman's character) with how they deal with Ra's fate.

Middle stuff gets less attention but still is regarded as middle

Begins is my favourite one. What sets it apart most is that Gotham City actually FEELS original and is a character on its own. In the sequels Gotham looked way too much like New York/Chicago/Toronto which soured me on them. Begins also embraces the source material while the sequels tried too hard to distance themselves from being a superhero film.

I don't know I still think Rises is the best out of the three not because it feels more like "Batman", I liked it because it kinda made me cheeer up on him

Actually, Batman Begins is my favorite film out of the Christopher Nolan trilogy. It is the most atmospheric out of them. It showed mainstream audiences why Batman is respected by his peers and feared by his enemies while remaining an isolated superhero film.

Agreed. Aside from what is mentioned in your post, it's the most well paced and tightly cut. Both "The Dark Knight" and especially "The Dark Knight Rises" are far too long.

The Dark Knight Rises was somewhat more disappointing for me personally, due to the fact Knightfall was the first comic and I read and regardless of the changes, Bane was excellent and what the movie was actually trying to do (rocky III lol) was quite grand in scale.

My friend, this is an excellent point, however, it is not true of much of the fanbase. Much like (regardless) of Episode I, II and III making billions and sitting around the 80 rotten tomatoes mark.

I'm not arguing that a financially successful movie can't suck ass, only that who are all these people you claim have all this hate for Batman Begins? You're the only person I hear talking about how people don't like it.

i don't think there's any huge number of people who hate it (aside from people who just don't like any of those Batman movies). I think it's more a case that it gets talked about a lot less than the other two.

The Dark Knight seems to get a lot more attention for two reasons: it's got the fucking Joker (Batman's most iconic enemy) and there was all of that stuff regarding Heath Ledger's death. And I hear a lot of people talking about The Dark Knight Rises just to say how much it sucks.

Meanwhile, Batman Begins didn't have any of that stuff going for it. It was simply a darn good Batman flick. That's good and all, but none of these movies are cinematic masterpieces. Batman Begins was just good (even if it was possibly the best Batman movie ever made). Without another angle going for it, "just good" isn't really enough to keep people talking about a superhero movie. These things come and go, then they get rebooted, and people just stop caring.

I don't like to think of TDKR as the worst of the trilogy. I'd rather think of it as a fitting ending for a great trilogy, like Return of the Jedi.

It was great to me. Definitely my second favorite out of the trilogy. I've never met a person who disregarded it...

Sure, Batman Begins embraces the source material as long as you overlook Batman letting Ra's die on the train. You know, a bullshit get around (failing miserably) to circumvent the no kill rule.

It's not really a no kill rule in his younger days. Batman was known to be rougher with criminals and do a lot of fucked up stuff and besides, negligence/failing to save him isn't murder. It's not like Batman films before Begins were all that strict, if you remember the Burton Batman films he was a MASSIVE dick and killed plenty of hired goons.

I'm not sure where you go to see these opinions, but most people here not only regard Begins, they regard it quite highly.

It's certainly the best "Batman" film of the Nolan trilogy, but I prefer The Dark Knight overall myself.
