He is a good actor, but the charachter never seems like jb. James Bond is supposed to be a suave gadget savy spy who never loses his cool. He was tough on bad guys but he never stoop to their level or lost who he was. He also had a better attitude on life. The Daniel Craig James Bond often falls into the bad portray of a thug fighting thugs. The same charachterisation often happens to the bad guy, where we have a hero and complely cast away his morals.

I felt that way about Brosnan at first, too. But after a while, you just accept them as James Bond.

This is kinda why I'm so disappointed with the new James Bonds... They just don't feel like Bond films anymore. They're too much like every-other archetyical action flick, and there's no more over-the top gadgets or supervillians with cool lairs and insane schemes to take over the world or monopolize a market or just flat out wreak havoc. The new films just seem like every other action film.

Quantum of Solace = uggghhhh in my eyes. Casino Royale wasn't that bad, and I was hoping that the next one would be more zany, but I was wrong. I did enjoy the stairwell fight, the blood tears, and the "torture" scene for mr. bond, made the whole film feel like a new generation of still over-the-top but cool Bond films were on their way, buuutttt solace let me down :(

I like the more rugged Bond that he portrays and Casino Royale was the best Bond movie since Goldeneye.

That being said, Quantum of Solace=garbage.

Not a fan at all. Don't like him as Bond and I don't like his era of bond movies that are just generic action movies. Where have all the gadgets that make Bond, Bond, gone?

He was good in Casino Royale. But by Quantum of Solace, his James Bourne gimmick had worn off.

Tim Dalton was much better at portraying a serious take on Bond, since unlike Craig, he actually feels like Bond.

I think he's a great Bond; it's just that he's more nuanced than some hamfisted suavebot like (shudder) Roger Moore. He's also quite easy on the eyes

As a massive "Prisoner" fan I have to say that Patrick Mcgoohan was the best bond that never was. As for Daniel Craig, Casino Royal was a good film, but didn't quite feel like a bond film to me., Quantum of Solace was just rubbish. All bonds since Connery have followedthistrend though. Take Timothy Dalton, for example, whoDanielCraig might be most reminiscent of.TheLiving Daylights is a greatBond film (afghanistan aside), butLicense to Kill is dissappointing.

I prefer Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery. Roger Moore had some good films, too. Daniel Craig isn't bad like a villian, but he isn't as suave about things as the previous actors.

I actually like this new style James Bond over the others. I guess he's much less like the Sean Connery bond that everyone models themselves after, but he's much more of a realistic bond. If there was a person that could kill without remorse and had the world's biggest ego, he would be Daniel Craig's James Bond. Also, he's much more of a spy. Daniel Craig's bond had to use stealthier tactics to gather information about his next move while the others are pretty much spoon-fed information by MI6. Plus, in other bond movies the villains know from the start who he is which kind of defeats the point of being a "secret agent." Also, in Casino Royale when he was found out and captured, the villain didn't use the traditional "I could easily shoot you right now and be done with you, but instead i'm going to tell you my entire plan" tactic. He needed Bond alive to get the money and Bond got out basically by luck rather than some extremely elaborate escape plan. The other James Bond movies just started to get very campy and corny to me. Goldeneye was pretty good, but then you have Die Another Day which I just found annoying. The main problem is that today, in order to get "advanced gadgetry", you have to go WAY out there because majority of the stuff exists in some form. Eventually it gets into the realm of cartoony. It used to be impressive that Dick Tracey had a damn watch that doubled as a two-way radio.

I personally like him the most out of all the Bonds though it would be nice if he used more secret spy agent type gadgets that Bond is usually known to use.... I don't see why there's so much hate for QoS. It wasn't best bond movie, but it didn't seem like a terrible movie to me...:(

I actually liked Quantom of Solace despite it's convoluted plot. Daniel Craig is a great Bond. He reminds me of the Bond I remember from the books. He is also a bit similar to Timothy Dalton in how cold he is. I am one of the few who thinks Dalton was a great bond though. The gadgets in the Brosnan movies were getting silly. I don't mind that usually, but you can't just have campy bond. It's good to mix it up with rough Bond. He is meant to be a ruthless yet suave killer anyway, at least he was in the books.

Casino Royale was GREAT.

Quantum of Solace was, well... could we not talk about Quantum of Solace?

Looking forward to the next Bond flick - he's a great character.

I couldn't get through the whole movie... I passed out about 20mins in... I'll give it another chance but I've tried numerous times before and it led to the same results. Sleep.

QFT though I really can't say much about Daniel Craig's Bond considering I haven't watched any of them. The previews never really captured my interest and didn't feel very "James Bond-ish" to me.

I don't think it matters what actor plays James Bond. The films aren't at all interesting. And no star power could save them from that truth.

I like him as Bond Sure he isn't Suave or anything but casino royale and quantum of solace feature a younger bond (in the books at least) he is still new at this whole 00 thing, while far from being a rookie spy, he is still a rookie bond, meaning he has yet to develop most of his pickup lines and most of the things that describe the Bond we all know.

I Don't think he looks like bond should, which irks me. Whilst I do appreciate that he acts like a younger, more reckless bond, I don't mind that. It's just that sometimes he does start to act a bit too much like your average action hero.

I think Craig is the best Bond by far. Brosnan, Connery and the rest were just so outlandish and over the top that the movies came off as ridiculous and I couldn't take them seriously (me and my friends watch earlier Bond films for laughs). Craig was the first Bond that actually felt realistic and cool.
