The last "favorite albums" thread was somewhere in September, and I figured were due for another one. So what are your 5 favorite albums ever and why (And no bashing!! XD )
5. Linkin Park - Reanimation
It's everything Linkin Park should be. It's got all the hard rock and metal of the original album, Hybrid Theory, while adding more of a hip-hop twist to it all. Linkin Park's kind of a hot button on these forums, but I like them and this is still my favorite album even if it was a remix album of their debut.
4. Box Car Racer - Box Car Racer
Box Car Racer's first and only CD. This side project by Blink 182's Tom Delonge is easily some of his best work. When Blink broke up, I was actually hoping for another Box Car album, but Tom had to go bat-crap crazy and make Angels and Airwaves. I like them, but they're no Blink 182 and certainly no Box Car Racer.
3. Rage Against The Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles
Rage's last studio album and easily their best. You can probably tell by now I'm a sucker for the rap-rock XD. Tom Morello is one of my hero's and this CD really shows how amazing and really... how ****ed up a guitarist he is. He takes playing the guitar to a whole new trippy level and I love him for it. I'm actually in the midst of forming a Rage cover band.
2. Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
What can I say about this CD but; Everlong. Easily the greatest song I've ever heard. Follow that up with an equally impressive album make this one of the greatest CDs on my shelf (Support the artists!).
1. Switchfoot - Nothing Is Sound
Switchfoot's fifth studio album really caught me by surprise. Ever since Switchfoot's first album, they had a habit of just improving leaps and bounds over the previous album. When 2003's The Beautiful Letdown came out, I was in music heaven. I could recite every word of every song backwards if you asked me. That's why I didn't expect too much of this album. I figured Switchfoot had hit their peak, but I was mistaken. I love everything about this album so much. From the haunting bass line in the opening track "Lonely Nation" to the acoustic song with a rock finish on the last track, Switchfoot never disappoints. This is an album that you'll never forget listening to for the first time.
*Hopes people reply so she feels she didn't waste all this time making this thread*
